After this week, there will be two weeks left of BBB. When that’s finish I might take a deload week, or might jump into Sheiko. I’ll be doing Sheiko 37, 30 and then 32 (which is a peak).
Does the IPF still get mad at you if you go lift in another fed? Is that still a thing?
I don’t think it matters if you go lift in another fed. There is a rule about lifting in a meet that has an IPF banned lifter in it, though.

Right, that’s what I was thinking of. I always thought that was kind of a strange rule? I was going to invite you to come over and lift in the next meet we have over here, as I think I’m going to do it too, but there is a pretty good chance it will feature a banned lifter so I guess that wouldn’t fly.

I’m pretty sure that you can’t go compete in other feds, just if they want to be assholes they can ban you for a year from CPU meets. I think the only time they really care is if you go compete at another feds nationals.

Here’s what I can find in the IPF Constitution:
14.9 Participating in Non-IPF Competition
Any lifter, coach, referee or official who competes or participates in an international Powerlifting or Bench Press competition not organised, sanctioned or approved by the IPF shall not be permitted to take part in any IPF international or regional competition for a period of 12 months from the date of that non-approved competition.
And
14.10.6 An Athlete or official shall not participate in contests or competitions if there is any Athlete or official participating in any division, section or bodyweight class of that contest or competition who has been expelled or suspended from his or her international or national federation or who is serving the period of Ineligibility for a doping related offence.
Penalty for violation of this rule (14.10.6):
Six (6) monthsâ?? Ineligibility commencing from the date of violation.
So I think it’s fine. Unless there is a banned lifter. I’d have to take a look at the lifter list before I decided yes or no. I’m assuming you mean the meet planned for April 2013?
Our Nationals is in March. If I make it to World’s (lulz…) then I definitely won’t be able to do yours. If I don’t make it to World’s… fuck it. lol I might as well do it.

Do you mean to say "I’m pretty sure you CAN go compete in other feds? “Just” implies a contradiction to what comes previous, not an agreement. Not trying to sound like an ass, just trying to clarify all this nonsense.
Stupid rule is stupid.
Very weird rule. That is the meet meant though, yes. I might do it just for fun. Like you said, fuck it

I stopped bothering reading his log ever since he started BBB if its not sheiko I generally dont follow it or if they aint canadian
I fucking hate you guys.
HAHAHAH
Hahahaha
On that note though, who has a good sheiko log on here that I can follow?
Me, in two and a half weeks.
Ryan Pelletier (sp, not scrolling up to check) does.
Ramzy did, not anymore though. Ben Rice (was that the strong 198ers name?) used to as well, but I haven’t seen anything by him lately.
Also on a Sheiko note:
I think I’ll be doing this:
Day 1 AM: Sheiko Day 1
Day 1 PM: Active recovery in relation to Sheiko Day 1 (Probably ham curls and leg extensions for high high reps, maybe some bench with the bar, etc), and mobility work.
Day 2 AM: Sheiko Day 2
Day 2 PM: Active recovery and mobility
Day 3 AM: Sheiko Day 3
Day 3 PM: Active recovery and mobility
Day 4: Accessory day (all upper back and core)
I also want to get in shoulders and biceps during one of the days. I might make it a PM session, or I might make it a Day 5. Ben Rice (again, I think that was his name) used to do strongman stuff on his Sundays. I’m sure I could manage to do a light shoulders and biceps on mine.
Active recovery and mobility will also consist of BPA’s, and I will likely do BPA’s on my off days as well.

There’s also nick isreal, but im not sure if he still keeps a log here. Once this meet is over i wont be shieko directly. I’ll be running something that is sheiko esque, but will be far from it because I find that training that way for too long ends up beating me up cause i try to push to hard to often. It will more then likely end up being a sheiko program for strongman. I have the first four weeks planned out but I’m sure it will be nothing new to anyone.I actually contacted the local strongman crew here and they figure the way I have it set up that it will work best for the event days.
and thanks for the shout out
