Despade: Tales of a Lifetime Intermediate

8/27

Shoulders

Pump chase. Not missing any days, just no real weight moved. Nothing to really track. Weight is 216. Still making good food choices. Feeling better. Drying out my liver :joy:

Flat DB Bench

Much better than expected. Motivation has been in the shitter, discipline is still here, so I’m still going, getting average lifts in, but fuck do I not want to get up in the morning, have scaled it back from 6 to 4 days in the gym to try and combat it

Any other factors that you can identify that maybe effecting this too ? Diet, life stresses, work. lack of clear goals ?

I have been feeling this a little over the last 2 training blocks. My discipline is good so I don’t miss sessions and my effort when training is pretty good but my general drive and motivation is down. I am putting it down to some life things that are needed extra focus right now and also to a lack of a clear goal for the current training. I need to do something about it soon.

Hope you can work it out mate.

Oh, @simo74 its all of this things haha and I know it. Still getting the workouts in, just not having that extra chutzpah anymore, is what it is.

Solid little leg day, 375 was a solid but tough single. Feels good to be creeping back to 400. Weight is headed in the right direction.

This is the first step to awesomeness.

This is a sure sign that you are on the right path.

Keep grinding mate.

Felt solid. Had a really good day in the gym, honestly. Did back and chest, felt good to superset those. Probably gonna do that from here on, heavy chest with a back pump. And then a heavy back day later in the week. Feeling decent body composition wise, but weight isn’t moving, whatever, is what it is.

Decent couple days, nothing exceptional (story of this “block” :joy:)

Just talked to my doc, been okayed for monthly test injections, which I don’t think is ideal, due to the half life of most esters, but they’re wanting a 3 month trial and re-test like this first. Total T from a year ago was around 520 and this test showed it at like 440, so some definite drop. Just don’t know enough to know enough at the moment.

First shot of test was yesterday, talked to the doc and she’s open to changing the dosage schedule once we get through this three month trial run. She seems to be a good one, at least open to this whole thing, which is nice. The dose is so low, I’m not even sure I’m going to feel it, though. But we’ll see.

Legs today.

9/25

Been hitting the gym still, no skipped workouts, just shitty ones haha

No real noticeable affects from my dose on 9/20, was very vigilant, as I wanted it to be an obvious improvement and then fall off, but shit, nothing to begin with haha

Deadlifts

1 x 515

Been on TRT every other week, makes a huge difference, mostly in the mentals for this dosage, but it’s a game changer.

Bench

1 x 315

Hitting at or near previous beats for the first time in 1.5-2 years has been sensational. Having the mindset back to be able to do it has been a game changer. I’ve been stagnant for probably 18 months, hitting lifts, working in the 70% range, but refusing to push anything because I just wasn’t mentally wanting/able to. Test has been a game changer, cannot over state it.

Not posting anything impressive, tried to upload the video, more for accountability and critique, all that shit, but size was too large. Have put on more fat than I’ve wanted. Sitting at 226 and can feel my extra chin wobbling :joy:

Just a check in. Can’t believe it’s been two months since I posted, feeling pretty decent, not amazing. Dietary choices haven’t been great haha but I feel full and strong. Been battling a fucked up shoulder for 6-8 weeks, has really hampered all of my pressing and pulling from the floor, hurts bad enough to avoid certain shit, but not bad enough to go to a doc. But I’m here, won a hat from the give away! So that’s sweet! Going in for labs again next week to see where I’m at with the 200 every two weeks doseage, been half assed looking at SARMS to stack on my test, but nothing serious yet. Also got a plug for good gear that I may take advantage of, just up in the air, got a long ways to go on nutrition. Been doing 4-5 minute ice baths every/every other day for the last few weeks, pretty solid, not much to mention as far as noticeable recovery from it, but helps mood, mentals, stuff like that.

Notable training achievement:
Bench 5 solid ass reps at 305

TRT update:

Made the executive decision to do .75/150mL injections every week as opposed to 1.5cc/300mL once every two weeks, it seems to be helping (no shit, right?) with the swings.

Tracking my food again, staying under 2500 calories with better food choices, feeling better, feeling strong.

Going to start pulling from the floor and squatting again, but only going to do one every other week to be nice to my lower back, been doing a lot of squatting, just not with a bar on my back, and haven’t pulled for a few weeks.

Good to see signs of life. Glad to hear you are working through the TRT and getting it right for you.

Body Weight ~225

Smooth 505 deadlift last night.

Dunno where I’m at with squats, have moved to higher bar placement with squat shoes in an attempt to squat more upright and take some of the shear pressure off my lower back.

Bench has been moving nicely, hit 305 x 5 a couple weeks ago.

Lots of compliments on size recently, think the TRT has finally really hit the cumulative phase and is working nicely.
