Fuck, I’m 5’6" and I got 30 pounds on this guy. Why can’t I do that? Shit, I’m still chasing 600 for a single.

That first rep was seriously like air, I know his 900+ vids were discussed here not too long ago but holy shit, almost 700 from a deficit and it looked like he was holding nothing.

Only post vids of humans please. Lifters obviously from outer space don’t belong in this forum.

Yeah he’ll never get big or strong if he doesn’t!

I really hope poundstone takes it this year. I am honestly a little tired of Marius’ arrogance. He is no doubt one of the most powerful people to walk the planet, but his ego is just as big as the rest of him. Poundstone seems like a genuine guy to me in the stuff that I have seen him in. I know that every strongman is different, and at the WSM it is all business for these guys, but Marius seems to be such a dick to the other guys. He rarely shakes hands after events, and on his interviews he never gives props to anyother competitors besides himself. Nobody’s perfect I guess.

You know what’s really awesome about this. This was part of his prep for competing in the Arnold raw powerlifting competition (won his class 182lbs, I think), then won his class in the equipted the next day… then went on to win the Canadian National Natural Bodybuilding competition a few weeks later (and some other smaller bodybuilding competition within a couple weeks).

For the record - in the video posted he’s wearing briefs. He commented in his log that as his bodyfat drops that low his strength drops off as well and he was feeling like shit.

AS for the T&G v. dead stop debate. My personal experience is that I can do more reps dead stop than I can T&G. The continuous tension is a killer.

Push - Please tell me that when you say you do RDLs touch and go, you don’t actually touch the ground. My hamstrings only let me go high shins.

Total insanity

FUCKING BEAST

Poundstone 800lbs for 9

Poundstone is my favorite strength athlete out there period. Someone made a separate thread for the 800x9 vid. It does deserve mention that he was wearing a suit for the set with 800 and the 750 was just a belt and straps, hence the difference of only one rep for a 50 pound difference.

Sorry, i didn’t know there was another thread for the 800lb one. But even with a suit, thats impressive stuff.

I in no way was even suggesting that the suit took away from the 800x9 deadlift being impressive, the man is a fucking machine, not human at all besides the human skin on his exterior.

Yeah. I’m really hoping he gives an all out fantastic performance in WSM. Would be great to watch.
