I think his belt might just be illegal, actually. Looking at it, the back looks VERY big. I think it’s probably a 6" back, which is over the 13mm reg posted.
I’m guessing metric isn’t your thing. 13mm = ~0.5". That measurement is for the thickness.
Eh, not so much the metric part as the “looking at the wrong dimension” part. The rule says a 10cm wide belt, which is roughly 5". So, belt’d still be illegal, unless I am mistaken again. Which is very possible.

God damnit work on the metric system. 10cm is just under 4 inches.

Because you’re a huge jerk, or…
Or because, with those socks, glasses, fuzzy camera work, and appropriate grunting, the video is slightly evocative of the beginning of a 1980s porn video. But I’m no expert in squatting or the 1980s.
That belt isn’t going to be legal either.
What’s wrong with the belt? It appears to be a typical weightlifting belt with a prong-buckle enclosure.
Way, way too wide for it to be legal. Also, belts cannot be tapered from front to back. The width has to be uniform all the way around.
What do you mean by too wide to be legal? Agreed that he doesn’t hit depth, but I’ve never seen anything about USAPL or another federation prohibitting too wide a stance. Do you just mean that with his wide stance (personally, I don’t see it as being that wide), he needs to get his hips even lower to break parallel?

He was talking about the width of the belt, not the squat stance
Like everyone else said, not deep enough, fix up your form as well. Find a powerlifting crew near you, ask around at the meet, get online coaching, something.

Ha, I suppose that should have been pretty obvious now that I look back. Thanks for clearing that up.
