Demigod before 35 (Aldebaran)

Well said! It’s so ridiculous that everyone (most people) are fat and get winded climbing stairs, so rather than try to be like you, they would be happier if you too were fat and got winded climbing stairs. Sheesh. They comment on your food choices, on how much time you spend working out “omg enjoy LIFE, have some CAKE” “Oh hes so narcissistic, always flexing and trying to build big muscles” ok rant over!

Something about the things that are worth it are never risk-free? Thank you for this brother, and the kind words.

It’s a work in progress, and the subject of appearance and self isn’t always simple nowadays, but damn it feels good feeling good! I have you to thank guys as well

First they mock you, then they imit you.

Sometimes they don’t mean harm or something but that’s the way things are. I was listening to some Layne Norton stuff today and he said that a big part of diet failings were because of the social pressure, of going out and people that criticize you when you order a salad because you’re overweight and they order a giant burger.

Ahah, many years ago I got criticized a lot, just people weren’t understanding. Now they ask for stuff. Like my mother ahah

Society judges you, but at some point, most people realize that it shouldn’t prevent them from getting what they want, being who they want. And I’m just happy they now work out with me or wanna know my recipes and stuff

Spoiling the full session because it was so greaaat we all loved it! Chest were fried as hell, amazing feeling on the triceps and rear-delts… The pump was also incredible… Had to sneak a few pics

Happy about my becnh performance as well, I relaly thought after a month without flat bench and all that I couldn’t do this weight. Used to be my performance would drop so much after the first activation exercise when I was doing Mountaindog, now it’s less of a dropoff!

28/04 - Colossus - Leg 1

Standing Leg Curl

Leg Press

Trap-Bar DL

Leg Extensions

Pull-Throughs

Calves on Leg Press

On paper this looked like an easy session but oh boy I was wrong! Sure I didn’t sleep a lot compared to the 10 hours of yesterday but this session really saped us of our lfieforce lol…

Leg press 2 sets of 9-8 with 5 plates and a 3 secs eccentric: it was horrible!

Truly a soul-sucking experience

The trap-bar x 8 at 160 was fine really though even if I was rushing it a bit and used a bit too much glutes and back rather than quads at some moments

The leg extensions… 56 rep on each elg, you do on one, then 8 on the other etc. Used too heava weight: at “set” 4 it turned into double leg, rest-pause style: pure torture! Almost 4 minutes of torture! Here are the last 20 secs for people that enjoy seeing others suffer

How have I missed the big bold letters letting me know you’re running a Meadows program! How you like it? I want to try one of his but idk which one. Thinking gamma bomb or avalanche

Yeeessss just look like 5 posts above to see an excerpt of a session. Also posted a full leg session in here on videos.

It’s my favorite honestly. I asked John himself about which program I should do first that would fit me.

Crazy high intensity, lots of exercises, few sets… I did it last summer with zero sleep, full of junk food, alcohol and drugs and still got amazing gains!

This year in a deficit (although a modest one, even if some people on his private group said they weren’t recovering ina deficit on it) I keep progressing and the progress is really noticeable at week 4!

Just overall amazing program, but very tough (doing the 6 days). It has less overall volume than his other programs and apparently is a favourite among his natural trainees (which makes sense)

I don’t own any of his other programs though. I’ve written half of a “powerbuilding” program inspired by his work and CT, and soon he’ll be releasing a Powerbuilding program with Dave Tate and a athletic one with French contrast and I’ll definitely buy those!!!

Yea I like the fact that a lot of his programs can be 5/6 days and you can customize the days to prioritize certain things. I have a few of his programs if you ever wanted to look at one my email is in my bio

Wow you’re too king! Thank you!!

Thank you for the support… it’s a work in progress but yes I’m feeling… happy and I don’t know, I can just accept and deal with the highs and lows of life better.

30 secs after the leg extensions, I tried an air squat and I swear, I almost didn’t make it up! i was so schocked at the level of exhaustion of my legs I did several more air squats afterwards ahahah. My quads were burning for a long time

Yesterday Pull day, today push day!

The easy days, nothing musch to write about, short, easy sessions. It feels nice because the first 3 days really have a toll on us.

Arms really have improved… But sure I didn’t do them for a while. I switched out most of the barbell work for DBs and I think it’s the way to go for me and my bad elbow. It really feels nice.

We were being Narcissuses in the mirror today and I really noticed them bigger, especially my brachialis and tris. My sister said they are a mix of Robert Downey JR’s and Chris Evans’ :joy:

Yesterday a BBQ after the bicep work. It was good but honestly not that much. i think i really am in the mindset and I don’t crave “junk food” as much anymore, so that’s good! Also as soon as I came home, I went outside and walked before the BBQ to burn some calories. I can’t drink or go to bed late now, for the life of me! I drank at most 4 glasses, and went to bed at 1:30am and today I was really tired.

But today my grandparents are coming here from Belgium, so you better believe I’m gonna drink a beer and eat some chocolate!

01/05/ Colossus - Leg 2

Standing Leg Curl

Reverse Lunges

Nordic Ham Curls

Stiff-Leg Deadlift

Calves on Leg Press

Good session, all felt good. Lunges were nice despite the lack of balance.

But the drop set on the SLDL were just horrible… (120 kgs > 100 > 80) 26 reps and I was grinding like a MOFO… it was an RPE 11 here’s the aftermath

Today at work some pro tennis player teen said I was on steroids (nice), but his father said no, I’d be more “shredded” (“sec” meaning lean, ripped) or that I would weight 95 kgs not 83 ahahah so I guess I still have more weight to lose, but I just can’t resist the chocolate so this weekend is not great :joy:

Final month to the 1st of june! We’ll be doing plenty of pics with the mates here. Starting monday, no mercy, I’m going full steam towards rippedness

Wow that food looks amazing. As they say pretty in leads to pretty out, or something like that.

Yeah third time’s the charm they? Well i already loved Colossus last year, but now I’m all for it, definitely my go-to for hypertrophy stuff. Just amazing feeling and great way of training for a guy with shitty joints like me. And I’m never doing a leg workout without starting with leg curls anymore!

Can you explain why?

Well you know I have bad knees from surgeries and all, and it’s a longevity thing I guess? But my knees just feel so mcuh better…

I remember when I did “Mountaindog for intermediates”, the workout from T-nation years ago, it had me starting with leg curls and I was like whaaaat? But my squat will suffer! It probably did but it was more that my form sucked, I was terribly overweight and my cardio was horrible

Then when I was coached by CT at some point he made me do squat clusters 5 with 90% of my max supersetted with very tough leg curl (maybe 2/1 technique?) and my performance didn’t suffer

Now second time I do Colossus, and my lifts don’t suffer, but my knees feel so much better, and I can focus on the muscles way better

TLDR: shed your ego, and enjoy a longevity approach that will benefits performance and hypertrophy in the long run

Yup!

It’s honestly the same logic as when folks talk about training vs testing; this system just forces me to do it. I’m a bit excited to do the power building one
