Delta's Log 2

@bug: I don’t plan on doing a shredded diet so soon  Maybe when I finally decide to compete.

@hlss: Just doing cardio for the sake of my heart, and because the stairmaster is really fun. There is no shredded delta plan yet, just wanna drop weight so I can gain again.

I regret not joining the military because if I had I wouldn’t be stuck in a third world country that is hot as the Mojave desert when it’s winter time. Instead I’d probably be stuck in a third world country that is hot as hell year round shooting at people who shot at me, but at least I’d be doing something usefull.

I don’t have patience for cardio as most already know.

Since I’m not doing DC here’s what I’ll be doing in the following weeks.

Conditioning Days

Leg Day: Steady State cardio

10-20 mins on the Stairmaster after training.

Off Day 1: Complexes ( Borrowed from Alpha)

Barbell doesn’t touch the floor, rest only when needed.

Deads x10
Bent BB Rows x10
Hang cleans x10
Front Squats x10
Military Press x10
Back squats x10
Good Mornings x10

Repeat

Off Day 2: Complex and Strongman crap

( See, this is why I post everything I come up here, I’ve forgotten what I was gonna write because I stopped to watch a part of Rambo IV )

  • Clean and Presses x10

  • Snatch Grip High Pulls x10

  • Front Squats x10

  • Lunge-the-fuck-away

  • Climb 20-30 floors on the stairmaster

  • Farmer Walks → add weight each set

  • Med Ball Slams

I forgot the rest.

I’m looking forward to doing this.

Do you know when you really wanna do something no matter what but you can’t and that makes you miserable ?

That’s my relationship with DC training.

Alright here’s a little rant

It actually bothers me to post my training here. I dislike that what I do is public for everyone to see, that everyone can see the changes and tweaks I do to my routines, that people can comment in their heads “Oh Delta has changed his plan… again.” I don’t owe nothing to anyone but I’m a person that’s really gets annoyed when I imagine what other people are thinking, and so far I’ve been pretty good at guessing what people think.

I might jump back into DC all of a sudden. Maybe be tomorrow, maybe in a month. I don’t care. Everything I’ve been doing lately has the single purpose of simply having me doing something while I recover. Think it this way, DC is my main car, all the other rest I’ve been doing is simply the old junk car the car mechanic lent me while the main car got repaired.

When I go back to using the main car, it bothers me that those reading might go “wtf, this dude has no consistency.”

The only reason I’m still around Tnation is to try and help, those what want help, to achieve their goals withing the bodybuilding/powerbuilding community, and hell, there’s still a lot of things I don’t know. I’ll let that clear. The only reason I’ve agreed and revived this log was because I had the intention of helping. I have my issues with the way this forum is ran, and I disagree with a lot of things. That’s all I’ll comment on this subject.

Just don’t be amazed if one day I log in here and write “fuck it all, I’m off to DC”, this log was originally intended to be my DC log. And if I dissapear all of a sudden, I’ll probably be at another board related to DC.

I don’t understand the emo-ness, dude. I don’t know who is sending you PMs or hounding you, but I don’t think anyone gives a fuck if you change your training style up every other day. You work around injuries, and train instinctively, and I think people just like to see how strong guys like yourself go about doing things on a day to day basis. No big deal man.

I’m somewhat the same way with my log. I really only post because of about 5 people. Those 5 people are also the only logs/threads I read.

I think what I posted sounded a bit wrong.

I’m not trying to sound emo or make a fuss on a small matter. See bug, I’m a person that over thinks a lot of things, small details that wouldn’t matter to other people matter to me. Probably has to do with me being very socially introverted outside the internet, and being bullied a lot when I was younger but what other people think of me actually matters to me ( I myself am aware how stupid this is, bear with me ) if one day I met you in person and you say “you are uglier than I thought”, it would wreak havoc in my head. So if I sit here and imagine people thinking “Delta isn’t consistent with what he does.” you imagine how much it would bother me. Yes it’s lame, it’s an issue I’m slowly dealing with.

Anyway this rant isn’t directed at anyone, nor is anyone sending me PMs, is just stuff I felt like writing.

I understand what you’re saying.

I don’t think anyone thinks you’re inconsistent. You’re one of the best developed and strongest teens on this site.

Aight, do your thing boss.

Dude, I understand what you’re saying. I’ve had troubles w self-image and that’s one of the many reasons I started lifting in the first place. But for what it’s worth, EVERYBODY here thinks your an awesome BBer who is strong as hell and does awesome shit. I don’t think anybody disapproves of what you do. And we all know that you love DC, and fully expect you to go back one of these days!

And also to note, just keeping this log is a service to guys like myself and newer guys. You’re shit is hugely inspirational, and it’s one of the reasons I use this site (to keep up w/ you and some other posters). Not Bug though. He’s dead to me.

Delta,

Your log is one of about three (Bug’s and Gregron’s the other 2) that I follow pretty regularly. I do check to see if you have changed things up but I want to see the results of those changes (positive changes hopefully but that is all part of a learning process). For example: did you used a different variation of an exercise that allowed you to feel your lats better, did it work and how does it show or you did something different that allowed you to work up to the 100s+ in the seated dumbell press.

I would have never picked up Glass Raises if not for following your log and I tried them the other day and loved them (I sucked at them though). Your log (and others) allows me to see the progression of these changes, and for my growth at least, it helps!

So in short thanks!

EDIT: on consistency, the avatar pic of your back shows your consistency.

Personally, when I see people like you or Bug change their exercises, rep scheme, ect week to week, I don’t focus on what you changed, I focus on what you kept. 99.9% the time the case is that:

*Ya’ll are advanced, know your bodies MUCH better then most, and are constantly tweaking things to adjust to different situations, weaknesses, ect. Ya’ll are ‘allowed’ to expereiment because ya’ll put the time in with the basics

*Every workout you choose a bodypart or group of bodyparts, work-up to a heavy set on a compound exercise for said group(s), then use other exercises to a)further fatigue said group or b)emphasize a different area of that group

*Every workout has you lifting heavy, hard, and intelligently (no bosu ball squats). Your log prooves that the bascis are what works best, and that slight variations to said basics that still allow progression are the best

So you see, as a newb, someone who reads your log with the intent to learn, THESE are what I focus on. You always follow a very similar plan every workout, you just utilize different tools.I feel most people come in the log section, look at the most successful guys, and try to find what ALL of them are doing REGULARLY and CONSISTENTLY, not focusing on the few differences here and there. Getting in the gym 4+ times a week is not inconsistent. Moving heavy ass weight on a regular basis is not inconsistent. Trying to find ways to always improve is not inconsistent.

/counterrant

Thank you spidey, kross, hlss, mmatt and bug, thank you for posting and for the support, it really means a lot to me to know people actually learn with me and that you all think good things about me

Today was a good day. I popped both my right and left scapula this morning, lat spread has improved drastically, but I’m very sore on the upper/mid back area, so back training today was more on the light side.
