So I just noticed an email from Defy that empower will no longer be making HCG. I’ve been on it for 18 months. Can I just stop cold turkey. I’m not interested in having any more kids. Is it ok to just stop or should I tapper down.

News to me, did they offer alternative providers?
Defy notified me maybe a month ago, then several times since. Apparently the FDA updated the terms required for compounding pharmacies to dispense HCG and Empower does not have the necessary license for it. Defy notified me they would fill up an extended prescription to hold their patients over for up to 6 months if the had their orders in by Nov 2, giving them time for either Empower to get their license or for Defy to secure another source. As to your question of stopping HCG, yes, just stop cold turkey, you likely will not even notice.

They likely can, but they won’t get their cut anymore
And that’s where a caring Doctor’s office would accept that and care more about their patients well being, rather than being concerned with making some extra cash to pay for what some consider vital to their TRT. Lets hope they realize this

Yeah I’m curious to see how this plays out. I imagine at some point Empower will produce HCG again, but what will clinics do in the interim
I don’t think it is that hard to get. Call around to compounding pharmacies.
