So wrong. He was SO shredded that night that the judges later said Danny was TOO gaunt. Muscle & Fitness even ran an article shortly after that read “Do Not Look Like this…” with an accompanying pic of Danny at the 81’ Olympia. Some BB historians claim Danny brought a level of conditioning that had never been seen on an Olympia stage prior to that night, which set a precedent thereafter.

Actually I have heard that people thought it was between Callender and Platz a time or two, but not Padilla. Coe was the guy who said that Pailla was always a little off. In any case people were always upset that Columbu won, and I think Dickerson may be one of the few that thought he (Dickerson) should’ve won.
