Deciding to Self Med - Newbie-ish

Hey All,

Decided to self med for now due to the rising costs of being with a clinic - I will at some point move over to another clinic again once I can make the financial side of things make sense.

Test Cyp 126mg a week split into daily doses

HCG - 500iu week

Ai 0.25mg twice a week

I was thinking… please tell me if im being stupid here.. to maybe explore a higher dose? Say 250mg split into 2 or 3 doses a week for maybe 10-14 weeks?

Monitor bloods after 6 weeks and then at the end?

Or should I not bother at all and stick to TRT dosages?

Bloods on current dose:

Ref ranges:

Total Testosterone:Range 8.6-29 nmol/L

My result - 26 nmol/l

Serum oestradiol range - 41 to 159

My Result: 99 pmol/L

Serum prolactin Range - 86 to 324

My Result - 183 mu/L

SHBG Range - 18 to 54

My Result - 15 nmol/L

Serum albumin range - 35 to 50

My Result - 42 g/L

Free Test Range is 0.17 - 0.66 nmol/L
My Result - 0.9

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

How long have you been on the current protocol? Why did you start? What’s your goal by increasing dose? Labs look pretty darn good right where you’re at.

Been on this dose a few a months now (I must say the bloods I posted was when I was on around 150ish mg but reduced down on advice of doc)

Thinking of increasing to try and get some strength gains but nervous of doing so..

Started a few years ago due to hypogonadism. Dr could never could find the cause unfortunately.

Still confused. So you’ve been on TRT for years but at current dose for months? First step is to find your steady state protocol that works for you. It’s your safe place to “land” if you decide to play with higher doses. After you get to a place that feels good with supporting labs, then you experiment with muscle building dosages. This way you always can go back to TRT if you end up chasing side effects.

A lot of guys blast a little extra Test for 2-3 months on TRT. I’m not saying I recommend it. I don’t even think that alone will make you any bigger than you will get long term with TRT. It will get you there faster though. Downsides are risk to your health as normal TRT is safe but super high androgens and estrogens are not. Other downsides of course are side effects like mood, acne, ED, achy joints, bloating etc. You may get none or a handful. Spin the wheel.

Ah so sorry for the confusion here. Been on TRT for like 3 / 4 years now but had my dose adjusted so many times to get fully dialled in..ish. Advised due to me being low SHBG, my hormones will fluctuate a lot so we just make minor adjustments where needed. But the current protocol im on I have now been on it since a few months.. if that makes sense. Seems steady I guess but only bloods will tell.

Yeah I think I’m mostly worried of all the side effects if they do occur. Wanted to pick brains on peoples experiences.
