Deca for Injury Recovery

Hi all, I’ve done months of research before posting this but just wanted to get a second opinion or possibly other recommendations before I start a cycle. I have never used any sort of pharma in the past for performance enhancements.

I’ve been suffering from a wrist injury for the last 12 months. It is a connective tissue, TFCC, tendon issue. Wrists are complicated and take a log time to heal. I’m an athlete. Mountain bikes, skiing and rock climbing are my thing. I’m not in the gym 7 days a week but when healthy, I’m out doing the above sports 5 days a week and 2 days in the gym. I’m a slim athletic build, 6’1" and about 150 lbs. 27 years old. I’m also a volunteer fire fighter.

I’m not looking to make gains, I’m just looking to recover and am getting desperate to get my life back. I’m in physio when I can afford it but it doesn’t seem to make any difference.

On paper, Deca seems to be my solution. Increased collagen intake, increased red blood cell count, and some increase in synovial fluid.

What I’m scared of… Deca dick, and messing with my mood. This injury has me depressed already and I’m worried that for one, deca could put me in a pretty bad place, and 2;…if this cycle doesn’t help my injury, and add in some gnarly mood swings from the cycle, I’d be sitting in a pretty bad place.

So a 10 week cycle of deca, 300 mg/week

But, I’ve seen a lot of negativity towards deca only cycles.

So do I add in 600mg/week of test?

After all of this I would run a PCT as well of course.

I do understand the test will lower my collagen intake and that Deca will shut me down completely.

Basically what it comes down to , I want to run a cycle of deca without getting deca dick or some serious long term ED after the cycle. I want to recover from my injury or at least make improvements towards this and I want to be happy. A man can dream right…?

Keep in mind I’m not looking to gain a tun of muscle, I just want to recover from this injury. But having some gains after a year of loosing weight/being out of the gym would be a bonus.

I’ve read there are numerous other bits I can add into the cycle to combat this and that, but I really do want to keep this simple and not introduce a massive stack.

Does anyone have any thoughts, insight, or personal stories to share? All input is appreciated.

Thanks!

" An earlier 2010 study by Papaspiliopoulos examined 48 male rabbits that underwent rotator cuff incision and reconstruction after stratification into groups based on local nandrolone administration and immobilization. In this study, local administration of nandrolone proved detrimental to wound healing however , systemic administration was not studied . Other limitations include the fact that anabolic steroids affect the tensile strength of tendons that may then cause failure with less elongation (33). Local administration of nandrolone may impair the healing of acute tendon injuries and the perceived benefits to retracted muscle may be outweighed by its effects on tendon healing (34)."

The thing with deca is that you will likely have pain relief while on, but it will come back when off. 300 deca and 600 test is not a reasonable thing to do for wrist pain.
