Chin nowadays, If i go all the way down to chest I lose tightness in my lats and cant press anything. I just create a really big shelf with my lats and press off that from my chin now. I feel like Its helping a little, wont really know until I go to max again though. Deffinetely feel more stable. lolol i’ve been spelling them wrong, yeah klokovs are cool

No, I descend til my muscles literally start applying equally opposite resistance as in the size of the muscles causes them to apply pressure to the surrounding tissue because there is no more space for the scapulae to move, so it obviously depends on your level of development. If you lose tightness, it’s because either the weight is too heavy, you misgrooved, or you’re not aggressive enough.

Larger muscles in your upper back means a smaller range of motion in your upper back not necessarily because the muscles touch sooner but because they touch harder. Assuming an accompanying larger upper body would mean the bar reaches your chest sooner as well. You have to take into account the action at the elbow as well.
