Dealing With a Violent Bipolar Woman

Toe rag? I’m sorry, wat? For those of you needing clarity, according to urban dictionary, toe rag is defined as follows:

The definition derives from old England where convicts used to tie bits of shirt around their toes and feet as a make shift sock, hence “toe rag” means scoundrel, criminal, thief, indencent/unlawful person etc. It is sometimes seen spelled Tow Rag because the original context has long since been obsolete.

Well thank you! I will do that and send it to you as a private picture.

Oh yummy!!! I love PMs! :-*

Anyone who wears their pants/shorts below their hips should be shot on site. It ought to be illegal for stupid ass kids to wear their clothes like that. Those are usually the same ones going around bitching because “they aint get no respect!” Ya think?!

Anyhoo, dude, if this chick is constantly violent, get a restraining order against her. Get her outbursts on video, then take her to court. You don’t have to spend thousands on a lawyer. Just a videotape, a police report, and go see the judge.

LOL I don’t mean that she’s deceased…just that the relationship required termination because of it. It was 8 years ago - it’s really not quite such a downer now. I felt more helpless than anything and a guilty sense of relief when she was gone although I loved her and she was missed.

Bipolar and BPD (borderline personality disorder) are two different things but very similar reactions towards peoplea round them.

Their perception of reality makes them nearly impossible to deal with… It’s truly like they deal in opposites.

This is 100% true especially the amazing in bed part.
[/quote]

I have a split vote on that. The first one I spoke of was amazing…I had a brief encounter with another very beautiful young girl that was, you guessed it, bipolar. And she sucked in bed. It was the most disappointing thing you can imagine (other than her being bat shit).

Close your eyes and play along. Imagine a beautiful Ferrari parked in your driveway, gleeming brilliant red in the spring sunshine. On your kitchen table are the keys and a clear title to the vehicle in your name. Next to the title is the insurance bill, paid in full for the next year. You walk out to the driveway and to the walk around. She is a sexy beast. You jump inside, the smell of new leather sweet perfume to your olfactory senses. Your favorite CD is already in the player. Oh look, a full tank of gas! And by the way, you have nowhere to be today. Here comes the fun…you crank the key and…NOTHING.

That was what the second girl was like. A Ferrari that won’t start.

OK now I don’t know the OP but that was funny.

Ha! I agree with you on both points, sumgai! It’s amazing to see how some degenerates are their own worst enemy. Even if you told them to look in the mirror to answer the question of why they ain’t get no respect, they still wouldn’t get it. The surviving children of crack mothers are now around 22 plus or minus 5, so it may explain why these kids don’t get it. Really sad.

As for the woman with BPD, I think it may come to the restraining order. I carry my phone around with me all the time, and it has a voice recording device on it. I always have my finger on it when I see her.

What you could do is get the board pres to file harassment charges against the women. Make sure that you get evidence against her behavior and have it well documented with witnesses. That way you could get a restraining order against her.

Also put what ever she is suggesting that is wrong to a vote. If the board turns her down they turn her down. Then record the after math. With witnesses. Then file more criminal charges against her.

Yeah, we are in the “collection of evidence” phase right now. She has attacked the President on 3 different occasions, each with at least one witness present (usually the doorman), and the attorney just sent out a second letter telling her she must cease all verbal communication with the board. The first was sent a few months ago, which just told her to correct her behavior.

Your suggestion to put things up for a vote is a good idea.

Rob… you are an attorney right? I am a paralegal who works for a landlord/tenant attorney. I just don’t see how you have a problem dealing with this. With your scenario there is more than enough justification and a responsibility of the condo association.

I hope there is more that you’ve done and just haven’t mentioned because you’ve been a bit ineffectual in this circumstance. I would not be hiring you based on this case.

all it takes to file a lawsuit is the filing fee.

OctoberGirl, you are quite obviously a paralegal and not an attorney. There is OBVIOUSLY many complications with regard to this situation. First, this isn’t a landlord/tenant issue. The woman with BPD OWNS her condo. And, I am not the attorney hired to represent the Board. I work at a large firm and when I do research I have to enter a client ID, so I can’t do personal legal research. Be that as it may, the Board attorney, who is allegedly the best in DC for Condo Assn Law has told us that our docs need to be changed because the fines for harassing Board members are capped at $5. Yes, we could sue her for harassment but, as you know, that will be very expensive.

Not having ever dealt with this precise issue before, I am seeking ideas from this thread to see if anyone else dealt with the situation SHORT of litigation. A TRO has been discussed. Great. I also wanted to hear from doctors who may have treated people with BPD or even friends or spouses of people with this disorder, to see if there is anything short of litigation.

But thanks for your $.02 …

well if there is one thing a paralegal can do, is research.

Too bad you can’t seem to figure out how to do that.

and… ownership doesn’t exclude this from being a landlord/tenant issue, but that wasn’t why I stated where I work.

EDIT: and you have to know that Findlaw, Shepherds, NOLA and Lexus aren’t only available to law firms.

How can you think you are going to find a medical solution to an almost stranger’s situation?

are you going to pull up a couch or inject her with lithium?

It’s not a question of my knowing how to research. If by ‘how’ you mean how to pay for it or find the time to do it for my board since I can’t do it at work – then I agree with you. Yes, I could go to my law school’s library, but then the Board would have to pay ME, because I’m not spending my free time doing what I do for 60+ hrs during the week.

Another thing lawyers do, which, if you are a paralegal you should know, is try to find creative solutions to problems which don’t involve a filed law suit. I know some might find this hard to believe, but lawyers DO try to keep things from going to court. So again, that’s why I thought I’d throw it out there to the T-Nationers.

I wouldn’t want to rely solely on what I find on a free service like Findlaw, although I did use it for background. I know Lexus is not free, and if I am going to pay to research, it might as well be done by our retained lawyer and not me. Again, I was just trying to see if anyone had dealt with this issue in an alternative way. And yes, I would love to inject this woman with Lithium! If you had to deal with her, you would want to as well!

Well best of luck in any case. It sounds like a miserable situation.

Thanks OctoberGirl. I wish this woman was disclosed in my condo packet when I bought the place! I would have had a second thought!

Hot beef injection.
