Mufasa, that’s not a dumb at all. Some long thick socks or long gym pants would work too, though.
pat: It seems like you would be better served (and avoid serious injury) by doing Rack Pulls…(this is dicussed in a later thread called “Kamali Exercise…”…
I must say I don’t think I have evr scraped up my shins so I can not realy say anything about that.
but I am not so certain that its a back weakness that is causeing you to have form probs. I am a back deadlifter, by that i mean that most of the work is done by my back and not my legs, If I try to use my legs too much my deads go down. there is nothing realy any more dangerous as long as you keep your back flat. I just think your back may be stronger than your legs.
I must admit Hetyey’s approach would put me in the
hospital. He must have one strong F-ing back! Mufasa
had a really nice “sequence” going on. I could feel myself
doing them as I was reading. (I assume he was doing
SUMO style; that’s how it felt to me!?) Now, I have
a confession to make: I don’t like bloody shins either
so I tape arm-o-flex foam padding to the bar on my
heavy days. SHHHHHH -quiet!!! (My shins sure do take
quite a beating!) That’s because I’m a SUMO guy who never
uses plates larger than the 35’s and sometimes as small as
the 25’s. I go for distance…And the bar stays glued to
my body the whole time, while still using some pretty nice
weight! Yes, my legs DOMINATE the move! But I still
consider it a full body exercise because everything
hurts the next day- EVERYTHING! ::::----::::
