Sounds like a cheap pick up line ;)
Dude is a fucking deadlift machine…he’s definitely someone worth listening to in regards to deads and other lifts for that matter.
I agree – he’s actually helped me a lot with my deadlift form too. He is a great asset not only to this forum, but the powerlifting community. A great ambassador for the sport.

I was just making a smartass comment.

Since STB didn’t weigh in, I will offer something.

Strengthening hips needs to be done slowly because if you tweak them they are a slow healer.

Doing cycles of box squats as an accesory would certainly help (wide stance obviously). 3x8. Start off relatively light and probably don’t push past parallel because you don’t really need to and again, if you tweak your hip you will be pissed.

Also, if you only pull conventional, adding in sumos as an accessory movement after the conventionals will help. I have had great success doing this with guys I have worked with that never even thought of sumo as an accessory. It typically helps both their squat and pull.

Also, good old fashioned pull-throughs are magic. Work on keeping your arch doing them almost like a stiff leg in terms of hip travel (just let them push back naturally without squatting down). 3x15

I am also of the mindset that what we used to call “vag stretches” are great and underutilized by most people. That is, those seated abductor machines. Again, keep the weight relatively light and realize you are doing these for volume. 3x15.
