I currently train with an olympic bar (MDUSA/Pendlay). Is there a big difference between this type of bar, and a bar that would typically be used at a meet? (I’ll be competing at UPA) Anything?
Never used a Pendlay bar so I’m not familiar with them, but traditional deadlift bars have a lot of whip. As far as I know most fed’s use either a Texas bar or an Oakie bar. Of the two, the Texas bar has less whip.

Part 1 of the vid shows a slow 315 pull so you can see the whip.
Part 2 is a close up of the same 315, I pull right to the point that the plates are about to break the ground.
Part 3 shows a guy on my PL team doing reps with a title more than I can manage…
