Just for the record, I PMed the bodyguard. I wanted to tell him i appreciated his response, and I also think that we just disagree about a few fundamental aspects of PL - this could probably be one of those discussions “are we more different because its gear/raw or are we more the same because we are both PLers.” I just wanted to post this here for the record so no one thinks I’m some sneaky sob who says one thing on PMs and another in posts.

Bullshit. You told me in your PMs to me that you love me, yet you deny it on the forums.

and I dont LIKE talking about working out.
Excuse the side question but, Why the hell are you posting on this forum?
hahaha, fair point. heres the short answer since I’ve already typed way too much today. The girl asked me about the strongman contest and my response was something along the lines of “No, you wouldn’t really be interested in it, and it would make me sound like a meathead, so I’d rather talk about something else.” I dont think this bores anyone here, nor do I think that we sound like meatheads (well, most of us, anyways)
In addition, have you ever had someone - maybe a friend of a friend - talk to you about working out? Jeez how stultifying.
The conversation usually contains such gems as “yeah, I really like to [insert inane exercise here] to really isolate my biceps” and
“yeah, I would be bigger, I’m just small-framed/injured/a hardgainer/not built to grow/insert other lameass excuse here.” I wanted to scream I DONT CARE!! I do consider “talking about working out” to be different from “discussing training”
hope that clears it up.[/quote]
lol, people have learned to never “talk about working out” with me unless they know what the hell they are talking about. So yes, i only “discuss training” with 2 or 3 people haha. (except this forum of course :P)

We are more the same because we both PL. And yes, I read ALL your PM
and yes, I was interested. For some reason, my replies to PM don’t work.

One thing about the gear/no gear thing that most don’t realize is the average person doesn’t give a shit about strength sports or understand them./ I can tell people I bench 350 or 500 and they don’t care. They think " that’s heavy". they have no concept of anything more than 200 ish pounds.
Don’t feel bad about qualifying your 750 gear squat, 500 raw bench or 400 shirted bench. The only people who know what you mean are other lifters.
Everyone else thinks you’re the goof who lifts weights.
