@CT I have been working out from home. What is the depth goal for this exercise and should I aim to get my back on the floor eventually?

It shouldn’t necessarily be a goal and that might be hard on your knees. Focus on maintaining tension.
Funny story about that exercise. Paul Carter and I were giving a seminar together and he started talking about a great quads exercise he came up with…the same exercise you just mentioned. I told him that I invented it in 2003 and even wrote about them.He didn’t believe me, so mid seminar I pulled out the article (which was written before best of quads)… it was written in 2005 I think, I was still with my ex and used her as a model.
I tend said “from now on, assume that I invented everything related to training”
Ya that exercise and shrimp squat are very humbling.
