I just ordered some mini bands and was wondering what %RM would be suggested for bench. If my max is 315 my guess would be 185 or 215?
If I secured them on the safety bars about waist level doing squats that’d be fine, right?

If your going to use the mini bands for DE bench i would use more like 155-165 for dynamic effort work. If you are just using straight weight 175-185 would be ok. But 215 is way to heavy either way.
And doing dynamic effort squats you want to attach them to the floor then loop it around the bar. This is choked not double. But minis will do you no good for squatting, not enough tension. Some people have had luck with doubling them so you could try that.

Thanks a lot for the info, looking back 215 does seem like way too much.
I guess if I like the DE bench I’ll have to get some bigger bands to squat with.

How long are the mini-bands unstretched?

45% of your 1RM on the Floor Press as straight weight plus the mini bands.
