the only things i know from Monson VS Pé de Pano was that he applyed a neck crank and “PDP” tapped, as neck cranks were illegal due to rules Jeff had to be DQ’ed. On a certain level I applaud Cruz for thinking on his feet, err…back.
I blame whomever decided upon the rules. How could they not see that shit coming? Wow… I have heard about the Chavez/Taylor controversy, but I have never seen the fight. Watching the video, I have such mixed feelings about the result. Clearly Taylor was way ahead and most likely could have survived the 4-5 seconds left in the round. That being said, he looked very much like a fighter who was completely out on his feet. If you forget how much time is left in the fight and focus only on whether or not Taylor was in a condition to defend himself… I think it was a good stoppage because he was done!
