Thursday

2 hours of BJJ

My body is feeling beat up. Will take tomorrow off and possibly Saturday. I thought being on test made people invincible? haha Looking forward to a big steak dinner tonight at a local bbq place.

I’m not sleeping much at all right now. My baby is sick and I’m the one who gets up in night to take care of her. I saw every hour last night except for 4am.

Skipped lunch today, but had it all at dinner. 1/2lb of sirloin, 1/2lb of brisket, 1/2lb of spicy sausage and all the fried okra I could eat. Crossing my fingers my daughter sleeps tonight. I need more than 2 hours.

Took last few days off. Celebrated a family birthday with a day trip, then baby woke me up 8-9 times at night the other two days.

Basically goal was moving a specific weight and not stopping until I hit that goal.

Wednesday

Getting more sleep! Only up three times last night.

1.5 hours of sparring today. Feeling really good. I feel like I can just go and go and go.

Ate leftover tomahawk steak for breakfast, skipped lunch and ate 6oz filet and shit ton of cabbage for dinner. I’ll make up for it tomorrow.

Friday

Morning weight: 228 What in world. Up 15ish lbs. I didnt eat much yesterday either.

Notes: Overall, pump is great. My elbows/biceps are cranky from BJJ and holding a baby for 4 hours a day. 5 weeks in to TRT and feel great. Since im not gaining fat, I might increase calories a bit. I’ve been keeping them low, but weight is increasing steadily. I plan on competing in February and, at this weight, 208 is out of question unless I start cutting now. I’ll try and push until end of year and cut for sub 223.

Spent most of last week sick.

Last Saturday - 1.5 hours of grappling

Yesterday (Friday) was my first day feeling well. Just picked up my 100lb ball and lifted it over head while kids were playin in back. Then, when I couldn’t anymore, I walked around yard until I couldn’t.

Today (Saturday) - 1.5 hours of grappling. 10x6 minute rounds

Sunday and Monday - Off

Tuesday - 1.5 hours of grappling

I accepted a job offer today. Really stoked. A recruiter, at my ideal company reached out to me about a role a step above what I would have applied to… I ended up getting the job and will start next month.

Super stoked. My current job was a sinking ship. Happy to leave and go to ideal spot.

Been pretty bad lately. Just super busy with end of year work activities, background info for new job and building a house.

So, this turned into first 8 due to having a conflict and being 2 days late on week 6. Regardless, last few weeks haven’t been feeling nearly as well. Got bloods back today and total T is lower than before, SHGB is a bit lower (good), Free test is the same and Estradiol is lower than before. I’ll meet with Doc next week, but not sure what happened because I can absolutely see that last few weeks I haven’t been ‘on’. Didn’t really think about why I haven’t cared to workout as much. Not sure what next step is, likely increase dosage? Also worth noting is wk 6/7 they waited until I took AI before I left. May be why Estradiol was so low.

FWIW, I stopped using an AI after crashing my E2. Many on TRT don’t need it (we are all different).

Only took it twice cause they were watching me.

So here’s pre/post numbers.

Essentially gotten worse. I’m guessing it’s just because the exogenous test at 140/week isn’t quite bringing me up to pre-levels once my body quit producing.

Is there a point in weight lifting when your body has so little free test to use?

Tuesday is the day to start fixing it.

If those were taken pre injection (seven days post), they are not bad. There are so many moving parts though. And typically, the adex dosage is ridiculous.

If you had low test symptoms at 770, there is no doubt you will not feel great at 650. It certainly sounds like you need to bump the dose. FWIW, I started at 100mg and went up to 140mg after about 24 weeks. But my pre trt test was 170, lol.

Ya, my pre-treatment total test was quite high, but SHBG was way out of range, causing free to be at the low end or just lower.

Saturday

Feeling fluffy. Didn’t get much done due to conference this week. No grappling, lightish weights. I’m loaded up in steaks in freezer and ready to put down weight.

Backyard workout

Two 3 minute walks around backyard holding ball.

Been lazy/busy. Weather has been amazing - 60-70F and sunny. I took my 100lb ball and left it in backyard. Throughout everyday, I’ll clean and press it 10 times, throw it over shoulder 10 times, then squat it 10 times. Heart manually racing for a good few minutes, then carry on with life until I do it again later.

On the hormone front. Weekly dosage is increasing to 160mg and subcutaneous to quad. I’ll be self-administering starting in January. Also, no more AI. It’s been two days and I already feel better. Although, I’m sure it’s because AI is out of system now.

Still be getting after it. Just not as frequently. Started new job, which has thrown a wrench in schedule. I’ll be traveling all next week so not sure what I’ll be able to do. Definitely got fluffy in December between eating/drinking and tanked estrogen and testosterone. Things are much better right now on twice a week higher dose. I get more bloods soon to confirm the higher dose is working.
