I always leave 45s on the bar cause I’m too lazy to put them away and lately I’ve been screwing around with OHP 135. I got 12 yesterday with a standard bar so was pretty excited for today’s OHP day. Sadly, I managed 6 with an axle at 135. Then hit three singles at 155, which I suppose is a current best.
Lots of band Pull Aparts and Ring pullups.
Set up the trap Bar so I wouldn’t be lazy tomorrow morning. . I already know I’m goong to hate myself tomorrow.
Being that it was 530AM, I didn’t feel all that great.

I wasn’t breathing heavy nor did I really struggle, I just didn’t feel strong. Has to do more with the morning than anything, I think.
So… I’ve been doing really well and haven’t had ice cream… BUT, I’ve still been a horrible person that last two weeks. Lately, I’m getting my Rockstars at gas stations because they are 2- $3 instead of $2/can at the store. This has caused me to walk past the candy aisle and see that King-Size Reeses are buy two get one free. I only want one, but paying another $1.5 gets me two more… so it’s worth it, right!? Initially, my plan was to get the three candy bars and have one a day, but I got three different forms of Reeses and I wanted to sample each one, which means I ate all three before I make it back to the office.
This leads me to… I don’t have the self-control to not buy candy bars when I’m at the gas station grabbing rockstars; and, I’m certainly not going to spend more on rockstars at the grocery store… So, I’m cutting out rockstars completely and will be fully reliant on caffeine pills. Thanks @Chris_Colucci for the tag. I was about to make my post-lunch run to the gas station when I saw the tag.
I might do a stickK bet of $500 to a charity I despise to help motivate me. @anon50325502 Are you down?
I know, I know. I’m hesitant to say weigh 200lbs, because I may or may not have the appearance I’m after. I’d like for it to be a plain as day six back, regardless of lighting and without posing. So… maybe around 10%bf. Since I’m not the judge, it’ll be up to you and anyone else who joins this anti-charity event.

Tomorrow is my cardio day. So, I really need to go for a morning jog. It’s gonna be colder than balls out and possibly raining. Tomorrow will be a bit rough. Have 4 hours of meetings First thing, then driving 2 hours south for a meeting, grabbing a hotel and 7 hours of meetings tomorrow before I drive back.
Starting my cut at 13 x BW or 2,870 cals with a macro breakdown of 220P, 350C and 64F.
Also, I’m a complete idiot and forgot my gym shoes. So, unless I slap on my wingtips or cowboy boots there won’t be any lifting happening at the hotel gym.
I actually debated it early this morning, but my boots were way too muddy and I couldn’t find a reasonable way to clean them at 5 am. The wingtips are actually dress boots, I’d hate to ruin them
I was supposed to hit squats. After I had done some warm-up KB swings, I strapped 135lbs on my back and my right knee was aching. I did some more swings, then tried to do some jumps to warm up more, but my knee wasn’t having it. Decided to do OHP instead.
I didn’t sleep well lsat night, waking up at 1 and then just watching tv until 330, when I finally crashed again. I woke up at 715 so didn’t have time to make breakfast, lunch or get a workout. Going to try and pull myself together and still eat well today and squat again tonight.
Knees are still killing me. I did remember that when my need hurt like this it’s usually cause my calves are super tight. I’m currently rolling a baseball under my calves, hoping it’s helps.

Hopefully knees are good to squat tomorrow morning.
I had never work knee sleeves before but I bought a pair a while ago specifically because I knew I was going to start squatting again when I started my 5/3/1.
I had never really had much knee pain when I lifted regularly before but in the last few years I have noticed that my knees ache quite a bit after any real exercise.
Happy to report that I just did squats for the 1st time today with the knee sleeves (5mm Rehband) and my knees felt great.
The sleeves to a great job keeping your knee warm and provide a little stability (not like wraps but a little).
Anyway, you might try some of the 3mm or 5mm sleeves to help your knees.
