Ltr,
Phill

OK Just got back from the far5mers market up the street and it is now LOADED woth all types of fruits, veggies, milk, cheese, eggs, etc…

Panther had asked about this place that has a stand at the farmers market selling free range organic meats, beef, pork, chicken, eggs. etc…
Here is their website.
http://www.smithfresh.com
I have yet to try them but $3.75lb for ground beef is not bad for free range/organic. I Have not tried it and dont know how lean it is yet but anyway. I may give it a try nmext week they have stuff on hand at the markets. Just very hard to beat the $1.85 I pay for 90%+ lean and ship from Kansas.

Last thing, Cezar & others. Yes they simply closed the building dedicated to the kyacks. Still rent them next door at the ski shop.

Phill

Panther, you from Pitt? I grew up in western pa and played high school ball there!

Hoosier I was an LB in college at USAFA and Colgate, so I probably dont have the arm you would need if you want perfect passes…but Id do my best! heck isnt it almost time for camp brother!!!
Nah, I’m from NoVA. I just went to school at Pitt. HUGE Panther fan though. You gonna catch any games up there this season? I think something special’s happening now that Wannstedt’s at the helm. Should be interesting to see where the Panthers are in 3-5 years.

Figure I would move this over here as well.

Those Highland games I mention to you all yesterday. I am going at leats one day for a bit to check it out.

Hey man I would love to but I hold a wacky schedule and that is just the time I’m laying down to get my sleep. I need all I can muster so I’ll have to pass this time.

Anytime in the Morning is great for me when you guys got something.

Just wondering anyone else going to try and make those Scottish games this weekend. I’ll be going at leats one day. Most likely saturday then if I feel its worth it again sunday.

Jeff

Yes there are even more that chimed in in the original one I posted a few months back. Quite a few of us in the area though we can hardly ever group up.

Feel free to jump in wioth any ideas or join some of the stuff we come up with.

Here’s a copy of an email I sent out. A rough idea. As always, post an ideas you may have.

Thurs:
Morning-about 9 I was planning on heading down to Quantico for the O course and to check out the Yellow brick road. Just planning on a some light run-throughs for GPP to get the feel of it. Reply back if you want to come along. I’m also going to check if there’s any times when we get on there because they’re running a class through the course or something. As far as future trip I figure we can go anytime except weekday afternoons due to the traffic. It would be cool to get a group down there.

Afternoon-4:30pm Strongman in Towers park. Bring any toys that you think may be fun to play with.

Sat:
Head down to the Scottish games.

Just buming this and seeing if anyone else is headed to the games tomorrow in Alexandria.

I’ll be headed there about 8 AM

Here is some info Jay posted on the other thread
The games are at Episcopal High School this weekend. The website is:

http://www.vascottishgames.org

The Open and Pro classes are Saturday, starting at 9 and 9:30, respectively, and the Amateurs and Masters are Sunday, starting at 9.

I went several years ago, but have too much family stuff happening to go this year. It’s fun, and the pros are a sight to see. Have fun.
I’ll be at the games a little before nine, I’ll be the guy in a red T-Nation shirt.

I’ll be there as well. Round the same time. I have no idea what the hell ill be wearing except to say short probably a sleeveless T and a bucket hat.

Ill be the long haired freak Not in a kilt (unless I buy one) and have a mouth full of sunflower seeds.

Hope to see you all there.

Phill

Still looking for a tire, and suggestions for
activeties and alternate locations.

Tues
