Hi again,

When I do the db skullcrusher, my right arm is really tight near the elbow. There’s some discomfort and sometimes there’s pain, especially when the load is too heavy. Is that normal?

I think you just answered your own question. Lower the amount of weight being used and gradually work back up again. Good luck.

i did lower the weight now. I’m only using 10 lbs now, but my left and right tricep has different sensation when I do the exercise.

The right one is much tighter, feels like I’m pulling something near the elbow.

When I say too heavy, I mean load that I can handle for 3 or 4 reps with strict form.

It’s normal if you don’t warm up first. Fix that.

I always do the isolation exercises (curl, tricep extension, etc.) at the end of the workout. I did the chest, and shoulder exercises before that which hits the tricep indirectly. I don’t think warming up is the problem.

Besides, only one side of my arms are tight. The left one is just fine.

Use the 2/1 method and do eccentric overload tricep extensions with the triceps rope. That fixed me right up.

I think you may have damaged the tendon a bit. I over extended my arms one time and for several weeks I was a pain when I got to full extension, so I switched exercises and in a matter of time I was fine.
