Arnold believes that doing dumbbell pullovers actually helped to “expand” his ribcage. We all know that simple science says that you can’t really expand your ribcage but Arnold does have a pretty massive chest to back up his argument.
I spend upwards of 5 hours in one day researching keeping up with the latest (and still dont know barely enough)
John Berardi and Lonnie Lowery made it their living. Chad Waterbury works in the Physical therapy field (or related). Cy Wilson has spent years studying and researching the chemical side of weightlifting/bodybuilding. TC himself studied in the field and got a degree because he became so interested - and as he explains, he probably wouldnt have become the editor he is today if he didnt become interested enough to research the topic. Tim Patterson heads Biotest and is responsible for all the research which led to the best supplements which you see on the left side of your screen (Hot Rox, and so forth). Don Alessi spends scores of his time reading anatomy and physiology books in his spare time as a hobby. Coach Poliquin (asshole as he is) still researched a minimum of 10 hours a week to become one of the world renowned coaches. Ian King has some of the best knowledge in the industry and spent countless thousands of hours researching in the field and keeping up to date.
There are many, many more.
So, what were you saying about science and nerds again?
The guy had a massive everything! The guy’s a genetic freak! And the 'roids didn’t exactly hinder his progression.
I think the man’s a beast, and admire him as much as the rest of the T-world, but those were different times in lifting.
Look at some of the old footage of the era. Some of these guys would put towels on their chest to get a really good bounce at the bottom. Now we know that this just causes broken ribs!
