Day After Training Legs--Cardio?

I usually do 20 minutes cardio with the rolling stair master after my workout. The day after training my legs, should I do this or let my legs rest?

That should be fine.

so are u saying cardio the next day after doing legs is a good idea or no? Open to anyones responses.

I’m actually wondering this myself. I’m doing a Westside style schedule, with my ME lower day on Tuesday, and my DE lower day on Friday. Would it be OK to do some HIIT cardio on Saturday, or can someone suggest a better day?

BTW, I’m also doing to Anabolic Diet, so I’m all carbed up on the weekends. Would it be better to do the cardio on Saturday morning, before I fill myself up with carbs or would it be (more) beneficial to wait until I’m already carbed up to do my cardio?

strangely, my best runs are after leg day. Normally I run about 2 miles at a 8 min mile pace, but after leg day I can knock out three with less effort. Weird

Some moderate cardio after leg day shouldn’t cause any problems. In many cases, it can serve as active rest and actually help faciliate recovery and make you less sore.

However, it’s an individual thing. Some people may not be able to tolerate any cardio or other leg work for several days. But I don’t think it’s an issue in most cases.

So like I said before, you should be fine.

If you were doing a heavy leg day and then doing a high volume of HIIT the next day, that could be an issue. But you’re talking about a 20-minute jog or some moderate cardio.
