Arm day! Best day of the week! Session moved quick. Only took 35 minutes and my arms were pumped to the max by the end! This wraps up week 2! I’m having a blast thus far! I may have forgotten just how fun Mountain Dog Training is!
First day on the mats in 2024! Very fun, triumphant return! Need to get back to some regularity so I’m ready for ADCC trials next year lol
Conditioning was a little better than I expected and really didn’t feel like I had lost a step technique-wise and got to try out some stuff that I’ve daydreamed about. Mental reps are effective!
Gotta dethrone Gordy! I’m kicking around doing ADCC open next summer. Learned some cool leg lock defense and entries from Dean Lister last week that makes me far more comfortable with people grabbing my feet.
Leg lock defense is definitely going to be the name of my game haha! But yeah that sounds super fun. My brother in law was signed up two years ago but ended up getting staph right beforehand. That would be an awesome experience
Starting the week with back day! Felt really strong and enjoyed the exercise selection! Listened to some old WWF music during my workout, including “Snapped” the theme song for Sycho Sid Vicious, whom I learned after the workout has passed away. Just tragic! This workout is dedicated to him!
Only took 46 minutes to get through the whole session and get back home in time for a new client orientation. Very excited for Chest & Shoulders tomorrow!
Amazing chest and shoulder session! Really love the exercise selection Used here! Was able to dig deep and push hard on every movement. I did manage to do something I’ve never seen before, I used up the last of the ink on a clear Bic pen. I’ve used it strictly for logging my training the last 2 years. Rest in peace Soldier. Had to finish logging with a dry erase marker, as that’s all that I had handy.
The chest and delt pump was about as brutal and huge as a human can experience.
Hate it when my pen runs out mid session
Now you’ve got a bad-ass spit ball launcher!
surprised @davemccright didn’t just cut himself and scrawls this in his own blood.
I considered it! I was getting desperate for something to write this crap down with!
Really great Leg day today. Very high volume here in Week 3. 8 sets of 6 on squats was diabolical, but thankfully once again, no lower back fatigue! Insane Leg Pump and almost didn’t have enough strength left in the tank to make it up and down the stairs after getting back! Ready for a couple of rest days before Arm day on Saturday and Back on Sunday, which officially begins week 4. I can’t believe how fast things are moving! The program is incredible! I’m loving it!
Somebody give that kid a crayon.
I promise I’ll have something better by Friday
Arm day today while listening to the Yankee game! Really enjoyed hitting JM Press again! Those really smoked my triceps! Ready to hit back hard tomorrow! Really feel like I’m recovering like a champ right now!
Also bought some squat wedges, which I’ll start using on leg day! Very excited about that!
Day 1 of Week 4 of the Incinerator! This was a fun session! Meadows Rows and One Arm Barbell Rows Back to Back is always a brutal combo! Enjoyed the heavy Pulldowns, definitely a great feel! Reeves Deadlifts were freaking hard and humbling. I thought I was really going to be able to load these up, but there’s no way I would’ve been able to produce explosive reps over 235 today. If these make their way in again, it’ll be interesting to see if I’ll be able to push them even heavier!
Chest and Shoulders tomorrow and then I’ll rest up Tuesday.
Chest and shoulders! Love getting a pump in these muscles and love just throwing some heavy weight around! Reverse band inclines are super fun! Really have such an awesome connection on laterals and rear laterals, they’ve really been my Bread and butter Shoulder movements. Same for Dumbbell Press and barbell slight incline!
Rest day tomorrow then legs Wednesday, then Arms Thursday and then either pump day for back or chest and shoulders on Friday. We’ll see and adjust based on how I feel Friday.
good work!
reverse band incline press . . interesting
Yeah it was really cool! Makes it a little lighter out of the bottom, so the strength curve is evened out a bit like training on a good machine and you can really load up the weight!
I like it . . did you use pins in a power rack for the bands?
I set the bands up on the top of my rack and then rested the barbell on the hooks in the rack and set the safeties up at about Chest level
