I’ll take it because it still implies similar physiques.

And I wasn’t napping; I was eating 4pm dinner.

Is that like an OAP early bird offer

Is it. I am now realizing that may not be a thing outside the US

Leg day today and I forgot to take a picture of my journal again. Oh well. I actually handled the increased intensity of this leg day way better than last week. I think that can be chalked up to: I’m eating more and I’m no longer stressed about moving. Our pet chinchilla has his own room but he’s scared to death. Last night was his first night in the new place and he was frantically running around, biting at the door looking for a way out. Today he’s just been hiding behind a box we set up in there for him. I feel so horrible for the little guy and I hope he adjusts well to this new environment. I want to set up a way to play soothing music for him while we’re gone.

The leg curls were especially brutal today. Every set was to failure and I kind of had to mini-rest pause to get the final reps of each set, hold my breath like I was about to do a big squat rep and just crank that weight up as hard as I could and lower it under control. After the first two working sets, I could barely raise my heel halfway to my hamstring when I was standing up with just the weight of my foot. I knew I was thoroughly and effectively exhausting those muscle fibers. Really had to explode on the concentric portion of the dumbbell squat reps with the doubled up orange bands on me today. Felt pretty cool and I can see the importance of the bands for increasing explosive strength in this program.

My speed squats have felt some What slow at the bottom and lightning fast once I get to about midway. I can see where my weakness is. I do feel like overall I was faster in the squats today than I was last week. Even with the extra 10 pounds. Excited to see what Block 2 has in store next week.

Program X-Week 3-Legs

Leg Curl 100x15, 110x12, 120x9, 125x6

Speed Squat 275 8x3

Banded Deficit Dumbbell Squats 2 Orange EFS Bands+100 pound dumbbell 3x8

Leg Extension 155 3x20

Calf Raise superset with Tibia Raise 100 4x8, Red Pro Mini Band 4x20

Back to chest day! Hallelujah! The peaked phreak powers his pompous pecs with plates and punishes his pumped physique!

I hit an all time PR on incline Press today. I slept really well last night and I think that paved the way for an outstanding session today. Got the hang of the reverse bands this time and was able to really push myself a lot harder overall today.

Was definitely in a time crunch during this back day. So the place was high and the work was HARD. Jammed my finger and tweaked my knee Grappling last night, but powered through this workout regardless and still PRed on weighted chins! Going to milk out these PRs as long as I can and enjoy them along the way.

Also a 9 year comparison of my arms, demonstrating that perhaps I truly am the CEO of the bathroom Peak Check. The first photo appears to have been captured on a cookie sheet.

photos clearly showing how genetics help with big arms. Still great progress through hard work and consistency over time. Good job

Absolutely! Insertions and muscle bellies play a big factor, especially into the look of a muscle. I also believe that starting young gives you a big advantage over people that don’t get into lifting until they’re adults

I confess this is the funniest thing I’ve read in quite awhile.

Awesome work, keep after it brother!

I am thinking it is lost in translation and is a word we don’t use in the UK or Australia

It’s a metal tray that is used for baking, you place cookie dough on it and stick it in the oven for the cookies to cook on lol

It’s so interesting that you guys don’t have that name. I’d be curious to know what you call that… a biscuit sheet perhaps?

We call it either a baking tray or a baking sheet

You’re killing it man! I’m catching up - is the move a positive thing?

Oh yeah, it’s a great thing, just not so much for our pet chinchilla who has had a tough time adapting from being free roaming around the house to confined to one room, but my wife and I are happy about the new house!

Squeezed this lift in before a big family bbq with my in-laws. I’m there now and dealing with a bit of a migraine, no doubt induced by a night of not great sleep and a workout that saw me push myself crazy hard.

I love these Shoulder days, they’re quick and I can really push these sets Crazy hard without feeling like I liked myself afterwards. Hit an all time Cage press PR with 195! In fact, it’s the most weight I’ve ever pressed Overhead in any capacity! So I’m feeling really great about my strength progression! Program X has been just what the doctor ordered so far!

Got some great rolls in at open mats today! Felt really fresh afterwards still so I hit arms about an hour afterwards. I really feeling strong and confident about the way my physique is looking as well as the progress that’s being made! Really can’t ask for more than that. Especially when Grappling is going well on top of that and the wife and I are feeling less stressed now that the move is complete.
