Merry Christmas (Christ-mass, in this case) one and all! Last lift before Christmas itself! Fantastic Shoulder and Arm day in the garage! The pump I got was truly out of this world! I did a lot of single arm/alternating stuff which caused it to run a little longer than usual but I got to really focus on individual arms, which was cool. Going to take a rest day tomorrow, then get back on the 3 on, 1 off schedule. Hope all is merry and bright for everyone!

Ever maxed out? Obviously the endurance is next level
I really don’t ever max out. I’m not sure what my maxes look like at this point. The last time I tried maxing out was in 2022. I hit Bench 315x2, Deadlift 500x1, Squat 365x1, OHP 190x1. I think squat is higher than that now, in March I did 355x8, but I really never touch weights anywhere near those numbers in my training at this point.
Really nice way to get back into things today, Post-Christmas. Eased back into it somewhat but was also feeling really good. 205 for 6x12 on Bench is becoming increasingly easier. I may look at adding a set in the next week or two. Also tried out 185 on incline and it was no issue. The last rep was really hard on the last three or so sets, but I’m feeling really good about it. Just was having an awesome connection and Pump with those dips and flys. My chest and quads were feeling so full and even sore from being so pumped by the end. Calories were a few hundred over my norm yesterday, but it was primarily from Turkey so I’m really not too pressed about it. I’ve got some clients today and then back to Chilling for the weekend. I love a short work week! Definitely will be getting some lifts in as well.

Forgot to post up my back workout from Saturday so I’ll add that along with yesterday’s Shoulder and arm session. The Back and hams day was a little abbreviated as I was still pretty sore, so I made it a little bit less of a nervous system intensive session. Hopefully this type of stuff helps give you some clues as to how I auto-regulate my training based on recovery, circumstances of my day and so forth. Every workout is set up with that stuff in mind. Sometimes I’ll plan to do something ahead of time and skip it based on time or feedback from my body. And sometimes I add something after the fact if I’m just feeling really darn good.
Arm pump today was absolutely unbelievable. Trained in my new Mark Kerr shirt my wife got me for Christmas for extra power!

Is this the hardest trainer on t nation or what. Granted I only skim about 10 % of the logs but that’s enormous volume. Quick 10 sec count ..59 sets of at least 12-15 reps. Yikes.

Haha thank you! I make no such claims but I try to always train as hard as I can with as much Volume as I feel like I can tolerate that day!
Happy New Year! Drove back to Oklahoma again yesterday. I’ll get a shoulder and arm day to ring in the new year. Meanwhile I’ll post up my Chest/Quad and my back session from this week. The back day was done on a significant time crunch due to having to get to the grocery store before they closed before the session and get back for a client call immediately afterwards. I usually have much better planning with my time, but not on that day. In terms of exercise selection for back, I basically copied a 1965 Reg Park back routine I saw on Instagram. That’s right, Reg was using Meadows Rows 40 years before John Meadows! Nothing new under the Sun they say.
A quick few notes from the quad and chest session: The Adductor Machine KILLED me. I’m still sore from it. I need to use this more. The reverse lunges gave me the nastiest quad Pump I’ve had in a while. I need to keep these in the rotation, even though they suck! I’ve been doing a lot of uni lateral work with no breaks between sides or sets, just nonstop work. Very killer, Kind of reminiscent of muscle rounds but with way more total reps.

Seriously though your training style is something that would bore the pants off me, but the results are incredible.
Safely made it to Oklahoma late Thursday night and have gotten some awesome training sessions in so far. They were both at about 4 in the morning, I was up really late, so I was pretty tired for both of them but I powered through. I have pushed these bad boys as hard as I could. Hoping to train a little earlier tonight!

@Friedrich yes I just have to write small and be smart about how I organize it, but I like that it’s small and just having a single session on a page.
