Thank you! I was feeling a little bloated at that point from the sleep deprivation and eating more processed food than I would like at that point. Diet and sleep are fully back on track now!
Last night’s lift was so damn good. I’m super hyped for today’s! The pump was amongst the most insane I’ve ever seen on my arms. The veins were crawling and it felt like my skin was stretched to its capacity! Was definitely a great day! Started doing dragon flags with really slow negatives. Just brutally hard! I will get really strong on these!
Right back to it today! Did the cable Zerchers again because they felt so good last time and they promote posterior expansion! The hack squats are just a great movement for phat quad growth and leg extensions are awesome for details and just getting a crazy quad pump! Chest day was just a good traditional tried and true one! The intensity really peaked on incline dumbbell press. For some reason, I was just so locked in on those! Maybe the best day of incline pressing ever and I’ve Inclined 100s for 20+ reps before! I’m just so much more focused on the sensation within the muscle now and getting the most possible pump and mind muscle connection rather than just trying to move the max amount of weight for the max amount of reps and I do so for basically as many sets as I feel I can handle with intensity and focus on a given day. I think the improvements in my physique demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach!
Got a nice session in yesterday before my cousins wedding at a gym I’d never been to before where I got to hit shoulders and arms with my brother and my cousin! Lots of cool machines and a great pump before the wedding! Only did 4 sets on the last two arm supersets due to being in a bit of a rush.
The previous day my brother and I hit back and hams in a super late night session. It was a brutally challenging session that I am currently feeling The after-effects of from a soreness perspective! Thankfully I just had a good night’s sleep!! We’ll be hitting chest and quads later today!
I appreciate that man! Doing my best to just keep improving Day after day and week after week.
@EmilyQ I’m looking at probably giving another crack at the Natural Michigan next summer. The rest of my 2025 is shaping up to be really busy and I want to really focus.
Hit a chest and quad session with my brother then downed an entire bag of RealGood chicken tenders before embarking on what ended up being a 20 hour car ride! The workout was honestly incredible and I think the phenomenal focus and mental boost(as well as Pump) I got from the session really helped me Power through! The mind Muscle connection was absolutely on point! I wanted to go a little lighter than normal to try to avoid any extreme fatigue beforehand and I think that was the right call and it certainly didn’t lessen my effort or pump!
Still haven’t fully slept yet, so about to get a great night’s sleep and crush back and hams tomorrow!
First workout back in the great, white north! Definitely feels like I’ve changed seasons in a day. It was 90 degrees when I left Oklahoma on Monday and it’s mid 50s, low 60s up here! Definitely woke up still feeling fatigued but today’s lift really brought me back to life. It just felt so phenomenal getting back to it! I was really dialed in today, which was sweet. No lollygagging, no extra breathers needed between sets, just pure focus and work. An ideal session. I’m so hyped for shoulders and arms tomorrow. I know it’s going to be transformative!
Shoulders and arms. The best day ever! I’ve been craving this one all week and it did not disappoint! Went with some slight variations from what I typically do but it felt really nice to mix things up! This was my best arm day since my first one in Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago! Chest and Quads on deck for tomorrow!
Hit chest and quads today and man it blew my quads up, just a few sets into squats! It was really mind over matter after that. Just intense focus and concentration. Willing myself through every rep and every set. Was actually feeling a little stronger than usual on squats, Leg Press and incline today! I originally planned on Leg extensions instead of sissy squats but some lady was on the machine from the time I was squatting through the time I finished my sissy squats and was setting up the rack for inclines. I got 20 hard sets of quads done in that time. Just crazy! I never let stuff like that deter me though, just pivot and keep it moving! I’m not really a “work-in” Kind of guy. I’d rather do something else than bother someone. Sometimes it’s nice to do some moves you don’t hit every time anyway! The pump was really crazy in this one, I had some crazy veinage going from My right front delt into my chest after Machine press! I’m so hyped about the direction everything is headed in with my training!
Almost forgot to log today’s back and hamstring day. This one was really good, I was locked in, I was motivated. I mixed it up just slightly from what I did last time. I’ll probably go for some neutral grip chins next time. We’ll see where my headspace is on that later in the week. I finished the workout a little bit quick, didn’t hit calves like I normally would because I finished RDLs with 2 minutes before the Y closed. The pump in the back and hams was just absolutely fantastic. They were so sore the last couple of days I wasn’t sure if I’d be ready for today, but sure enough, I woke up this morning feeling good, feeling recovered and fired up to train! I think that certainly points to a good blend of work:recovery. We celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving tomorrow at my wife’s grandparents house! I may sneak a lift in between my client call and the Steelers game before we head over there! Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend!
Fell a day behind on logging but happy Canadian Thanksgiving! Got a lift in yesterday and one in the garage with my brother in law today! A couple of absolute bangers. Today’s quad pump was one of the most unbelievable of my life for some reason! I think the lighter weight on zerchers really let me focus on my technique and mind muscle connection. It was brutal! The arm pump before family dinner was a stroke of awesomeness yesterday! Going to hit Back and Hams tomorrow then rest on Wednesday for my 3 year anniversary with my wife!
Back and hams! 7 straight days with a lift and it felt great! Taking tomorrow off for my 3 year anniversary with my wife! Had to cut this session a little shorter than I would’ve liked to hop on a call with a client. Still took care of business and had a fantastic lift and pump! I’m going to be crazy sore tomorrow!
