Dark Mode Option

Maybe I’m the only weirdo who does dark mode for literally everything, but could we get an option for a TNation Dark Mode interface?

Justification: Dark Mode makes me feel like Batman, and blue light is no bueno for sleeping.

Pretty sure dark mode reduces overall brightness and glare not blue light.

Your PC/Phone should have a night mode/blue light filter, that makes the display warmer (yellow/red) tones.

Hey, that’s pretty good!

Now do a version where it’s like that, but black.

All I can do is laugh at myself.

Yep, it works. I expected it to be under ‘profile>settings>interface’.

Thanks, CL.

Don’t do that. People like me will never ask but want this as well.

Okay so I’m going to give some people an update on this.

I did not care for the built in settings for dark mode. It forced a lot of odd ‘boxes’ around the buttons on each comment, thread, etc. It was just too busy.

I’m taking a course on Coursera, which also does not have a built in dark mode for PC, so I found a workaround that I like a lot… turns out it works beautifully for the TNation forum too.

If using Microsoft Edge as a browser… type the following into the address bar
edge://flags/#enable-force-dark
then go to Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents, select “Enabled” from the dropdown, then restart your browser.

Now my TNation interface looks like this
