I love this site, but that because of it’s content. Because to be honest, the dark background make it a pain to read longer text here. And I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling that way.

I actually find this site easier to read than others IMO. I vote keep it.
I’d say keep it as well, every other site I go to has blue or black on white background.
So I put T-visits intermittently so my eyes can have a rest from the white.
I’m fairly sure yellow and black are considered the two best contrasting colours for text. Yellow on black is great. Although different themes would be cool.
I think Maddox said it best when he described reading black txt on a white background as “staring into a f$ck%ing light bulb!”. I find this must easier on the eyes than black on white.
Keep it the same.

Dark backgrounds are perfect for reading. Thank god for firefox’s stylish add on!

This is the biggest issue.
The yellow text on black background is easy on the eyes, unlike the bright white text shown in that link. It feels like staring into the sun.
Well, guess I’m alone then… But I find yellow on black to be hard to read…
But I agree that improving site speed and the search engine need to be done!
yea i love the black background/yellow text…as for the Search tool, that DEFINITELY needs work, cuz its terrible in my opinion…

why dont you change the color preferences on your computer? change the "text"and “background” colors in your settings. i do it all the time.

I don’t even bother searching through the site’s search engine anymore. I just go to Google and look up type in “site:tnation.tmuscle.com” + whatever I’m looking for.

Same. Search engine here is garbage. I can remember on multiple accounts when i have searched an exact phrase i knew was in a thread and could not find it, only to stumble on it later

Lol, I do the same thing now. I learned that google trick from DC over at IM. I just do whatever + site:tmuscle.com, etc etc.
