Let Metabolic Drive win you back. I’m so glad I did.
Mix one scoop of chocolate and one of vanilla - amazing! 1+1=17!
It really is like a treat! I do like vanilla anyway, but this is just extra yum!
Except you don’t agree at all. Quite the opposite.
You asked why people like me are talking about it. We’re talking about it because a growing group of people want our attention on a constant basis.
Males want to dominate female sports. Men in dresses want to perform sexually explicit shows for children. Activists want to label me as a category of woman “cis” or a “bleeder” or any other stupid terminology… instead of real, actual woman. And we’re all supposed to adopt this terminology, and care about their pronouns, otherwise we’re bigots.
And men, who adorn themselves as stereotypes of femininity, are effusively praised and celebrated by not just the White House, but by so many of the companies who used to make products for biological women but now have an agenda to shove in our faces.
Delusional thinking spread through social contagion; the “small” group of people who believe they were born in the wrong body has exponentially increased recently.
They don’t. People who deny biological sex promote the idea of your truth or my truth instead of THE truth.
That’s incredible. Getting people to love your version is a huge accomplishment. Way to go!
HAHAHA I prefer talking about food. So thanks!
I keep forgetting to try this!

I got out of hand yesterday. Had to disengage and delete a bit - sorry. Apologies to you as well @TrevorLPT
This is what I don’t understand. @TrevorLPT asks why this is something we’re talking about, looking for an opinion - then argues against the opinions he asked for (kind of, he asked for yours - not mine). It clearly wasn’t for a better understanding, so why guise it as such?
^This is a hyperbolic growth trend, and it needs to be discussed. Even Bill Maher goes into this in detail.
No apologies needed in my direction, man. I didn’t interpret anything you said as an attack on me — I felt like we were just having a conversation, and I was interested to hear your perspective.
I didn’t perceive what we were doing as having an argument. Sometimes I ask questions in a way that people find combative, and when you combine that with occasionally disagreeing about specific points, it makes sense how it can seem like an argument:
This is why these typically are not productive discussions. Once we form a strong opinion (which we always will when it’s around something important to us), none of us are showing up to a conversation looking to have our minds changed.
Well, “argument” carries a weird connotation.
People say “I’m arguing with my wife” and what they mean is “verbal fighting”. Arguments are “Here is my position and here is my defense of it”.
I do believe you were arguing against opinions you asked for, but that may just be my perspective. Asking for an opinion, then saying “well that’s wrong because xyz” isn’t asking for an opinion, in my opinion.
Regardless, I’m glad you didn’t take anything I said personally - I admittedly got out of pocket. If you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend watching that Bill Maher clip above. He does a phenominal job of explaining the position most of us have regarding the trans issue.
This is a fair take.
That said, I legitimately don’t have strong opinions about most of the things @Andrewgen_Receptors was saying, and I legitimately am curious about why this is such a huge cultural phenomenon and why people seem so emotionally invested in it. I think I just have an intensely irritating way of asking prodding follow-up questions and digging in on minor claims that I disagree with. My wife would certainly agree with all of you there. Haha
That’s fair. I do think this is how many of my conversations about emotional topics go off the rails without me being able to predict it.
I’m generally not a fan of Maher but I’ll definitely check it out.
It’s all good, Trevor. I know I didn’t change your mind, but discussions like this are productive in helping people understand/examine their own thinking. So I appreciate you. You’re more than welcome to swing by here and join the conversation. Now let’s chat about something fun!
Ha! I popped in and out because I had appointments, work and other stuff going on, so I didn’t even see what you deleted. But it’s all good! Seriously, no need to apologize.
Thank you so much! ![]()
Me too! I am a foodie at heart, but have made it a healthy thing ![]()
Tell me more! What are your favorite things to make?
I think one of my absolute faves are the protein pumpkin pancakes. But, I like any fit stir fry, Mexican foods, turkey individual meatloaf muffins, egg cups, egg white omelettes, etc. For treats, I also like making protein muffins. Healthy crockpot or slowcooker meals are good too! I don’t necessarily love to cook, but I do love having foods readily available that fit a healthy eating plan. Also, I want to figure out some vegetarian meals because I am a bit of a sensitive sap lol, and don’t really want to eat meat.
What are some of your faves?
That all sounds amazing! You might enjoy this Cookin’ with Chris thread. Everything he makes is always my favorite when I’m eating it. LOL. Feel free to share your favorite tips and recipes! Chris is the chef in our house. It’s not that I won’t cook, it’s just that he loves to get his hands in food every day. It’s his happy time.
You’re a sweetheart. I’d also like to learn how to make good vegetarian/vegan food too. I have friends and family members who don’t eat meat, so I’d love to be a good hostess for them. Recipes that contain beans are always super satiating, so maybe that’s the way to go? And there’s some evidence that they’re an awesome food for leanness.
Second happiest time.
