Dani's Rebel Log

I can see why now! Thats a good take. I’m kind glad I went to a community college. They’re not going to ask for more money. They’re like “Oh, He went here? He doesn’t have any!”.

What a great list, and what a time suck it’s going to be for me as I start ticking through them!

Seinfeld has been my favorite for years. Joe Rogan’s Netflix special was classic. (Kevin James was good as well…) I am surprised Netflix showed it. The Dean Martin Roasts, and The Dean Martin Variety Show are some of the funniest skits, and roasts I have ever watched. I tried to show a roast to one of my girls a few years back. She walked out offended. I guess I am old.

Glad to know I have funny friends on here. Thanks for all the recommendations and popping in to talk about what and who makes you laugh.

:point_up_2: This guy is so gifted as a comic and actor. I predict we’re going to see way more from him.

He was one of the openers for Bargatze when we went to the Be Funny tour last spring. Pretty good stuff. Kinda wish he had a newer set though. I was familiar with his material, but it did give us a chuckle.

Gulman was my favorite when I was a teen. He won the first season of Last Comic Standing, and he’s touring now. We’re planning to watch him live in a couple months.

RIP. What a precious man. Also a believer. He had one of the most unique senses of humor the world has ever witnessed.

Our stand-up teacher (and also my improv teacher) has been warning us to never fall into the “What’s the deal with…” joke set up. It’s too played out.

HA! Yeah, that’s believable. I think they’re designed to be offensive, below-the-belt type stuff. And the people who sign up to be the subject of those things have the thickest skin of anyone on earth.

I often wonder, are those people really so self-assured that it doesn’t bother them, or do they go home at night and cry in a pillow? I remember Justin Beiber’s roast ages ago and could only watch a tiny bit of it. It seemed cruel.

Hey look, it’s me!

Fantastic upper body day though. Workouts during “girl time” are actually better than the ones the week before.

Luteal phase is the worst. Everything hurts, your social battery feels more depleted than usual, digestion is wonky, and immunity is at its lowest. Come to think of it, you could probably compare much of the female cycle to the plot of the Shining, and you wouldn’t be completely wrong.

Heeeeeere’s cramps!

Workout

Superset:
Rope Pull Thingy: 3 x 1 minute
Lateral Raise: 3 x failure

Straight Arm Pulldown: 3 x 8-10
Tricep Pulldown: 3 x 8-10

Seated Cable Row (neutral narrow grip): 4 x failure with a drop set

Incline DB Bench: 3 x 12

Seated Machine Overhead Press: 3 x 10 pronated, switch to neutral grip, then 5 more reps

Other Stuff

Had an insanely funny improv class on Saturday. Tons of new people there. I was just blown away that this was a 101 class. Everyone was bold and hilarious. What a delight!

Lower Body

Wasn’t feeling it so just did the same three things as last time, focused on form and tempo, stayed moderate with load, felt a decent burn in the quads, glutes, and hams but definitely just a punch-the-clock workout.

Here are some other things.

Oops.

Might just work.

You too?! Haha I’m not even sure I’ve ever seen a date written on a smoke detector. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

“I took Julie out to dinner and a movie 5/6/07.”.

Thats a double date! Ha!

Workout

Core (abs/spinal erectors)
Seated Cable Row
Rope Pull Thingy
Lateral Raise

Actually can’t remember what else. It was an upper-ish body day with some tanning.

Last night Chris and I did the stand up class and it is so hard but I’m trying to reframe everything as discomfort reps.

Here’s stuff.

Anyone know what brand that is? Kipper needs an open carry jacket.

Arizonans have it right.

Always loved this.
