Daily Food Intake Advice

Hey everyone, this is my first post on this site so if I am doing something wrong let me know. I don’t know that much about dieting and have been reading a good amount here but as a beginner at dieting I get kind of overloaded with all the information.

This is my first food log so I plan on making it better from here. I didn’t do a calorie count which I will do one tonight on Wednesdays intake. I am 6’0 190lbs, not sure on my bf% but I will have them test that tonight at the gym. I am looking to get bigger and just plain stronger. Anyways heres todays food intake.

Wed. 7/30

8am 15.2oz Orange juice with creatine (Running Late)

9am 1 Large Apple, 2 Non-fat cheese sticks

10am 8 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 18oz green tea, 7 big pieces of low sodium bacon

11am 1 baseball sized orange, 31 almonds

Noon Olive Garden (mixed grill… chicken, steak, & zucchini)… then Steak Stew, with steak, potatoes, celery, white rice, & beef broth (both leftovers from roommate)

3pm 5 Strawberries, 10 Cherries, 35 Almonds 2 non fat cheese sticks

4pm OJ with creatine

9pm .87 pounds of Grilled chicken and half a frozen bag of broccoli

And water throughout the day. So thats it, all information is welcome (good or bad). Thanks everyone.

I’d say you’ll need to eat more to grow assuming you’re lifting hard in the gym and getting adequate rest.

Having a breakfast (assuming you’re not late much) will help get you an additional 600-1000 calories right there.

Try it out for a few weeks and see if you’re gaining (which I doubt), then just increase your food intake and re-evaluate.

I don’t really have any advice on getting big (because I’m still trying to get big), but if you’re having difficulty remembering what you’ve taken in, try photographing everything with a camera before you eat it. Just a cameraphone or something is fine.

Also, Daily Plate @ Livestrong.com is awesome for keeping track of nutritional content and involves less typing.

Ok, so basically just keep lifting hard and eating as much as possible, got it. Usually I eat breakfast including some form of eggs and bacon.

I also carry around a piece of paper in my pocket that I write down anything I eat, just right now I don’t have a scale to weight everything.

Thanks for the tips.

Also supplement wise is there anything that I should be taking. I haven’t trusted to many supplements besides fish oil & creatine.

Thats a good idea man! good call on taking a picture with your camera phone I may do that from now on instead of writing down my intake god im lazy lol
