Dad Bod

Being a Cadillac of men myself, I thought or hoped the dadbod was going to the classic burly guy, actual arms and a gut–I keep hoping this trend comes in because I fit the bill to a tee. I think women, like men, have a wide variety of “likes,” from “toned” to “ripped” to “roided up freakzilla” to “fat.” There is a key for every lock as they say.
Haha so now it’s womens fault that men suck? Maybe they’re just being polite to their baby daddy.

I am 5’-4" and weight 205, I don’t have a visible 6 pack unless I flex like I am trying to drop a duece, and if I hold it too long I pass out, but that’s another story.

i am built fairly well braod shoulders XXL shirts, decent arms, huge legs, small waist, 32 in Levis, have to wear a 33 becasue I can’t get 32’s over my ass/legs.

My wife says she’s not into the dad bod, she want’s a guy, with meat on his bones. She doesn’t care for the scrawny, 6 pack super lean guys either, she said flat out, " I want a real man with muscle, not a scrawny ass kid that’s looks like he’s barely hitting puberty".

Either she really loves me, or he’s blowing smoke up my ass.
There’s no way not to sound like a dick saying this, but a 32-33 inch waist at 5’4" is not “small” in any sense of the word. That’s like an average waist on a 5’10 dude.
Wrong. He said he has broad shoulders and weighs over 205. It’a all relative.

Are you expecting him to look like an aspiring 202 competitor or something? Please. I’m not even saying he’s a slob or anything, just that his waist isn’t small. I mean, Arnold is said to have had a 34" waist, and his waist never really looked ‘small,’ and that’s in comparison to his 57" chest on his 6’2 frame.

There are worse things than smoke.

Once had a girl say seth rogan was her dream “build” on a guy…
No surprise that she always dates the club bouncer type i.e fatties that have a done a few bicep curls every now and then.

No, its women’s fault that women suck. Men are who they are and generally don’t worry about this shit. I’m venting, but I work in a department full of women and see some pretty rotten W vs W behavior on a daily basis. Petty backstabbing, the ever present diet sabotage, gossip galore, all driven by a quest for self-esteem at the cost of someone else. I find it despicable, even though I am generally “off limits” in these wars because I am a guy.

…according to 2010 data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, these are the measurements of the average American man:

Height: 5 feet 9 inches (69.3 inches)
Weight: 195.5 pounds
Waist circumference: 39.7 inches

Only on T-Nation is a 32" waist not small.

Maybe you SOUND like a dick but I’m going to have to BE an asshole and call bullshit on this.

I’m 6’1, 185 pounds and 33 inch relaxed fit Levi’s are uncomfortably tight on my ass & legs and Bullpup, you are telling us that at 5’4 205 you can fit into 33’s? Bull shit. The only way that could possibly be true is if the circumference of 33 inch short jeans is completely different than the circumference of 33 inch long jeans. I’ll be checking this out next time I’m in a department store. If I’m wrong I’ll come back here and apologize.

That is a very weird measurement indeed. 205lb with 33 inch waist doesn’t really compute for someone who is 5’4". I live in South East Asia so pretty much every guy here is 5’4" - 5’6". Those who weigh over 185lb won’t fit into a 33" pants no matter what bodyfat level. Even the pro bodybuilders in my gym (who competes in international shows) walk around with ~32" waist during off season, but they weigh around 180-190lb. I’d love to be proven wrong though, because he might have a really nice frame for bodybuilding.

Gentlemen, you should be applauding this. Generally speaking, what women say they want is pretty far removed from reality - encouraging guys to get soft in the middle simply thins out competition and makes your own sexiness stand out more.

Sweet, I’ll never have to diet again!! Pass the pork rinds, beer, and fried chicken!

this how a rational minded person who can think for themselves would see it, however most millennials need to be spoon fed their opinions today

A woman wants to be the showpiece in a couple. She doesn’t want competition!
Why would a woman want a man better looking than she is?

When my wife and I go out, women are constantly checking HER out. Constant comparison is the norm for many women.
