The 2 a-days kick you right in the arse…I used a new 8rm and 14rm based on my new 5rm in phase 2…I work 12 hour shifts at work and have to walk about 5 miles during the day, aso the Pm workout handed me my asshole…BUT it felt fucking great…I really think Surge is the key for the PM workout, pound 1/2 during and a full serving after, you will need it. also SLEEP is the key, thank god I had today off, I figured Id give myself a solid 7hours but I was wrong, I woke up and said fuck it- passed back out for 3hours now I feel great and ready to go bust my ass again!! so dont kid yourself and say you only need 6 hours of sleep- because you will be setting yourself up for an injury or burnout.
Today is my last workout on the first week of the last phase.
Things are going well, I threw on a golf shirt from last summer, and getting it off afterwards, it was stuck to my arms…me thinks the arms are up. I haven’t done any measurements, but I’m leaner and larger…so have I solved the mystery of gaining weight while losing body fat? Hmmmm…maybe not…likely just that I’ve decreased my bodyfat by gaining more muscle weight than bodyfat during a bulk.
It’s crazy to think that by Tuesday in the week, I’ve done as much work frequency wise that I was doing all week on previous programs.
I am more tired than normal by the end of the nights that I work out…but that’s not a problem…getting tired at 11 and getting up at 8 is nice.
Just finished Day 4, Phase II. I was pleasantly surprised at the weight I threw up in the decline bench - I underestimated my 1RM by 30 lbs lol.
This phase almost feels like a rest week after the intensity of the previous two weeks. The workouts are hard and heavy, a welcome respite from the savagery to come with the two-a-days.
Well the two a days aren’t as bad as you might think they are.
They are fully within the realm of accomplishable. In fact, they feel like very fast workouts…when in reality they take me roughly 40-45 mins to complete.
I actually look forward to the afternoon workouts b/c they are short and effective…It still blows my mind to think that I’ve been in the gym 8 times per one week…where as before I used to do 3-4 depending upon the protocols of the training program.
Today is the beginning of the last week of the last phase…then I’ll take a rest, go back to phase 4 and then repeat…I’m going to do the two a days for another cylce as I think I want to see the full impact of this and don’t feel that 2 weeks will be enough to gauge the effectiveness.
Starting Phase 4 this week. I am very happy with improved recovery. I was expecting to be wiped out last week on the two a day phase but I chugged through and still had energy for the kids. I’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback from friends and fam on the physique. Very motivating. I noticed Chad says continue with phase 5 until you can’t take it anymore. Are any of you taking a week off? I am.
Any more results? Im dying to get into the meat of this program.
I had to go out of town for work but still had gym access during PII and I am moving this week, so I decided to wait till I move to go into PIII. Ive kind of gone I-II-I with my training. Good news is I am moving 2 blocks from my gym and the complex has a decent “fitness center,” so AMs will be more convenient.

Yeah, me too. I start Phase V next week.
I think I’m going to go on to something else after Phase V - probably do CT’s Mutation Series - I want to cut - and this sorta derailed it! Not that I mind putting on about 10lbs. of lean mass… but based on Phase III, I don’t think you can do Phase V on a cutting diet without burning out in a week or two. However I think if you want to pack on slabs of quality mass this is definitely the way to go.
I just started phase V today. In phases I - III, I ate large and gained about six pounds. I reduced calories a bit on phase IV and also did a little cardio. As a result I lost about a pound of fat. In phase V I plan on eating my normal 2800 calorie diet. If I notice fatigue or strength loss, I’ll up the calories. But I’m hoping for one of those seldom achievable phases where I can lose fat and also gain a little lbm. I’m going to do phase V for three weeks, then phase IV again with the lower calories and light cardio, and finally phase V for two more weeks. Lets see what happens…
On the last day of the first week of Phase 5. I love this program, i am finally getting the physique I’ve always wanted after 3-4 years of training.
I thought about cycling back to phase 4 after next week and continuing phase 5 for a couple of weeks after that, but I’m not so sure its a great idea. This has been my first 2 a days, and not that i am fatigued but a week off after phase 5 might be best for recovery. Plus working out twice a day on the weekends kinda limits what you can do on your days off.
My strength is up, and my weight is up about 7lbs. I can tell looking in the mirror, I have lost some body fat also. I like the variety CW has put into the workouts, and the PM session has been good because of the set and rep parameters.
Maybe if I’m feeling great i might try to continue, but I am usually the guy who quits at the end of the program because of boredom. Not this one, the variety of exercises and gains are keeping me motivated to kick ass.
Not sure what program to pick up after my week off. Maybe some more CW, but this seems to be the cream of his crop and the other programs might be hard to keep with after this one.
I’ll be taking a week off, then back to phase 4…love those strength days…then 2 weeks of Phase 5, then try again…by that time I should be just about ready to try something else.
The main thing I love about this indeed is the variety! I don’t get bored of doing these workouts…or dread any of the days, like I do with some other programs.
Well done CW.
I have a day off…and I’ll be sleeping and reading…I can’t wait.
On Day 4 of Phase V, Week 1. I can’t say enough about this program. I started taking Carbolin 19 about 3 weeks ago and am up a grand total of 15 lbs. I weighed in at 246 lbs, with no appreciable gain in b.f.
I put on a pair jeans today that I hadn’t worn since Christmas - and the waist fit perfectly, but the legs were filled out quite nicely - “loose fit” was looking more “slim fit” these days -
everything these days is just looking thick and, I can’t explain it - but the workouts are all rather smooth and powerful - the weights have been steadily increasing from week to week. I think it’s the combination of the Carbolin 19, the workout, and eating everything that isn’t locked down.
The cool thing about the HFT is that iis so metabolically taxing that I am literally eating a Prof. X like 6000 calories (by my estimation) and have gained little if any additional fat. Brilliant.
To the all the guys keeping their calories in check for fear of gaining fat - I think you are short-changing yourself. If you are doing this, do it right. Eat and sleep as much as you can and hit the works HARD. You will grow like a friggin’ weed. You can always cut up later.
Great program. My only regret is that I didn’t take a before picture - I had no clue it would work this well.
