I’m cutting weight for wrestling right now to go to 163 lbs. I fluctuate a lot, but I probably walk around at 168. I got to this weight by cutting out ALL starches except for a post workout drink. I’ve also reduced my salt intake.
My question is after weigh ins should I take in some extra salt with a sports drink? If I have weigh ins the next day also, should I stay away from the carbs? And, can a lack of salt make you become fatigued easier or is it just that less water is retained?
