Cutting journey

Doing what you’ve been doing has gotten you the results that you’ve been getting. You have a lot of beliefs and ideas, and they have given you the results that you have gotten.

If you are satisfied with those results: keep doing the things you are doing and believing the things you believe.

If you are unsatisfied with those results: something different will need to be done.

I don’t have cookies for at least a month, I introduced the shakes, no cheating (except beers) for just a week…
And I kept weight with and without them

May you get the results that you deserve

Yeah there are a million suggestions that will work in this thread. Velocity, counting calories, etc. Choose one that isn’t what you’re doing now.

That cookie may sound healthy but with so many fat sources could easily be 1000+ calories

But OP is a slave to his taste buds. I give him zero chance as long as he is worshipping at the altar of his taste buds.

Looks delicious!

You’ve calculated the macros and calories per cookie? What are they?

@emosms there are a lot of great suggestions here. You seem a little more focused on justifying what you’re doing than adopting new behaviors. That’s fine, and maybe you just haven’t hit the necessary frustration point yet. Once you hit that “screw this” point, you’ll be more comfortable and confident doing anything that’s not what you’re currently doing (since that’s what gets you to where you currently are). For me, it was posting up a “before” pic. I see you’ve had the courage to do that, so maybe this is it.

In any case, people are starting to respond negatively because it appears you’re asking for advice you don’t want. If you’ve already decided what your path forward is, that’s totally fine. It just may be the framing that has folks thinking you’re looking for recommendations.

@TrainForPain Great points. Reminds me of that book and saying “what got you here won’t get you there.” The tactics used to go from 100kg to 90kg won’t necessarily work to go from 90kg to 80kg. Have to adjust as you progress.

U all seem to hate plant based, except for plain rice and potato when eating carbs
And I am not a vegan at all, it just has a lot of minerals and stuff and it is quite handy to carry and eat anywhere.

will calc the macros roughly now:
500 grams of nuts/ 15 meals is 3000 cal’s/ 15 = 200 cal if I don’t put raisins and mostly the extra oil.
200 calories nutritients rich that keep your stomach full.

If I play with the extra oil/ having it twice a day it could be double and could be used for smth like low carb/ keto bulking.

I won’t get up earlier for a proper breakfast and I won’t prepare a breakfast meal every day for sure

Cheating must be much of a problem.
F ex. Drinking beer (red wine when colder) makes a nice cosy evening …

As I recall, last time I dropped weight I was eating smth like meatballs and cabbage/ carrots sallad almost each day…
So it complies more with what u suggest.

But I don’t really believe ‘phytoestrogens’ are much of a problem (I read a good amount of estrogen is healty and usefull, even for ppl on PED) as long as there is a calories defficit (for cutting).
Mby it will be problematic getting under 10%, but getting 15%…

I remember eating nuts and diary stalled my progress, but eating them was free and unaccountable, unlike the fixed amound there would be in the ‘cookie’.

You are the exact kind of poster that makes me not want to help people.

Ok, I will mostly listen what ppl suggesting here. Finished with my ideas, beliefs, taste.

What do u suggest as meals and timing?

  • 2 meals, 3 shakes
  • 3 meals, 2 shakes
  • 3 meals, 3 shakes
  • anything else, no shakes at all…

And what kind of meals do u have, exemplary.

There are 57 comments in this thread, and you’ve ignored pretty much every one of them.

I’m going to be an idiot and give you advice I’m certain you won’t follow.

  • Drop the shakes.
  • Eat 2lbs lean protein daily, preferably lean red meats. This will be about 200g protein. Emphasis on lean.
    • it doesnt matter how many meals you split this into.
  • eat as many vegetables as you want. Avoid using oils as much as you can, but if you have to use some, use EVOO and use it sparingly. Hungry? eat some vegetables. Preferably cooked. Salt and other spices are fine.
  • clean carbs only… meaning rice or potatoes. Don’t make them super tasty and delicious. Spreading them out throughout the day should help you avoid the hyperglycemic highs and rebound hypoglycemic lows that turn you into a carb smashing rage monster.

Just eliminating shitty foods from your diet will make a huge improvement.

If you eat this much protein daily, you are unlikely to need any dietary fats. It is quite apparent that you overeat fats while also claiming to be addicted to carbs. Neither are inherently evil, unless you’re eating them faster than a Somali refugee.

Walk 10 minutes after every meal.

Drink 8oz cold water before every meal.

This is ridiculous, I am not a pro bodybuilder to eat 1 kg meat daily
I could eat a pound at best but usually less

Does everyone here eat that much to get lean…

I agree with Andrew, shoot for 180-200 grams of protein per day. If it seems too hard to get there just eating meat, use the protein shakes to develop the habit of getting about 40 grams, 4-5 times a day.

Personally, i don’t think your breakfast replacement nut balls are the worst thing you could eat. I would just urge you to look at the micronutrients as well as the macros.

500 grams of nuts will provide most of the magnesium and other stuff your body needs for a day. But you’re dividing those 500 grams of nuts into 15 servings. So each day you’re only getting 1 fifteenth of what your body needs.

No wonder you’re getting cravings.

If not more.

This is the result of your current dietary habits. Maybe change them? Unless you want to look like a gross potato.

Never supplemented magnesium, associate it with cramps, heart health, but seems it helps the nervous system as well.

If it makes u calm and relaxed in the evening - no need for alcohol

Maybe try shaping it into a cookie and see if that helps.
