90lbs in 6 months? Fuck am I reading that right? Must of ate like a fucking horse.
you read it right bro. I never ate so much. I think I got a little fatter than I would of liked but I think the gains speak for themselves. I’d feel sick I ate so much. lol
could you lay out a rough sample day of eating during that 6 months? i think it would help most of the bulkers around here.
70-80 lbs over contest weight is excessive in my opinion. Safe bet those telling you to bulk like you have been have never done what you just did.
I’m as impressed with the 77lbs in 16 weeks as I am with the physique you were hiding under it. I can see 20-30 lbs over, but much more than that is hard on a guy.
Great job dude!
Well I didn’t figure I was goin to do a contest when I bulked that high. Most of the people telling me to bulk was the people here telling us to eat like a horse and not to worryu about fat gain. I still think I made massive improvements on my body despite the fact I was quite round. lol. Since I now know that right now I can do my most damage as a heavyweight, I’m not going to get that heavy again and I’m goin to focus on quality not quantity this time around. Thanks for the compliments.
I keep hearing two different things about my offseason weight. People say to bulk big like I usually do and itll pay off and some say to stay close to my contest weight. Im not sure which route Ill take yet. I was 280 and cut to 203, and yes my posing will be much improved the second time around. thanks for the compliments
Well, let me clarify by saying I don’t think you need to get up to 280 again. I do think that the bulk from 193 - 280 obviously worked really well, and you put on a lot of LBM. At this point you could definitely keep it more in check and still expect tremendous gains.
Clearly, your years of bulking and powerlifting paid off in that you had a great base, then added a bunch more size and refinement. Now, if I was you at this point, I definitely wouldn’t be afraid to bulk again, just try to keep it closer to your comp weight - which you pretty much already said you plan on doing. If you were 203 for the show, maybe put a cap at 240-250.
Prof X will probably yell at me for suggesting a “cap” at all lol, but I think that’s the right way to go, considering where you are at now…

I don’t kno if I can cap at 250-250, just after my rebound im around 240 with some ab definition. I haven’t even dialed in my bulk diet or even added in my compounds. I’d like to be at the higher end of my weight class next time around and with careful planning I can transition better from my bulk to my cutt.
IMO, you did great by losing that much weight, You have a good physique. That being said, your conditioning should have been better and you would have look great at 190. I look at your diet for the show, not the best for great conditioning… Keep it up, you have potential and keep your weeight with in 20 pounds off season.
Looking great, most of what I thought was wrong has been addressed. Perhaps a little forearm work would do you well, they look good in all your offstage pics, but onstage they just don’t look up to par IMO. Granted mine are pathetic…

Well, the contest diet you saw was just for the first four weeks of a 16 week diet. I lost the avocado and post workout carbs at week 12. Dropped half the oatmeal and rice after 6 more weeks. Then went keto for the final 4 weeks. The prob was that i cheated alot, and its my fault for that. Ill be better next time.

I guess my own feedback would be I need to be more consistent with my leg training. Also, I need my posing to be better and a bit better condition. The judges basically gave me those latter critiques. The leg one is my own.
hey man yeah . . . i was gonna say probably work on your legs a little more but other than that you have a great physique. I’m hoping to be at that wait after a while. . . Keep up the good work:)
