Bunch of irrelevant talk in the thread.

I love the boys who say he tested positive for creatine and multivitamins. Original.

We may never know what he took since the NFL will not disclose.

Week 5 can’t come soon enough.

Actually I heard it was NO Explode.[/quote]

If it was NO Explode he would be 400 pounds of lean muscle and probably would have killed people raging so hard

The title of the thread?

And everyone parroting stuff theyve heard about steroids.

Update:

“The Associated Press announced Monday that it will conduct a re-vote for the 2009 Defensive Player of the Year award, citing previous winner Brian Cushing’s violation of the NFL’s policy on PEDs. Cushing is eligible in the re-vote, but he’s not likely to win. His All-Pro status is also in danger of being stripped, as the AP will re-vote for one of its outside linebacker positions. Though Jairus Byrd finished second in Defensive ROY voting in the winter, we’re betting third-place finisher Clay Matthews would edge him out considering Green Bay’s finish to the season. Brian Orakpo, who had 11 sacks to Matthews’ 10, may also be a serious contender.”

am after reading he tested positive for hCG…

Here’s another update, maybe somebody more familiar with gear use can fill us in as to what this could mean:

“Suspended LB Brian Cushing’s positive test last September was reportedly for abnormally elevated levels of “hCG” – a non-steroidal substance produced naturally by the body. The catch is, it’s also a popular combo agent during anabolic steroid cycling, and the same thing Manny Ramirez was suspended for in 2009. When injected, hCG can restore testicular size (which is affected by steroids), in addition to produce testosterone. Cushing may not have tested positive for 'roids, but it’s pretty clear something isn’t right. As SI’s Ross Tucker noted Monday, many players use PEDs during the offseason, when their chances of being tested are down. They then maintain the gains during the season.”

Heard interview with local Houston reporter McClain. He was speaking about Cushing sleeping in a Hyperbaric chamber, I will be curious if they end up with studies showing that this raises hCG?

He tested positive for a slightly elevated level of hCG. HCG is used two ways WRT to steroid use. The wrong way, to restart the HPTA after a steroid cycel (this doesnt work usually) and the right way to maintain testicular volume during a steroid cycle to make recovery easier after the cycle.

Testing positive ONCE for a sligtly elevated level could mean that he got caught well after he did a steroid cycle and used hCG as PCT (dumb dumb dumb) and the hCG was on the way out of his system when he got tested.

OR

He could be being treated for secondary hypogonadism. But that’s probably something he would have let the league know, for obvious reasons.

HCG can also be used by itself to raise testosterone levels. But it causes suppression of the HPTA and is on the banned list so it wuold actually be dumber than just using AAS because the results wouldnt be as good and the penalty is the same.

.

Defrancos stance on this whole thing.

He might be innocent. It could be a result of some really kinky sex games with pregnant chicks.

Gotta respect Joe for his loyalty.

Some trainers may have caved under the pressure.

His little “rant” gave me chills…

I guess I’m a little girl, or a fanboy. lol

God I miss old school people with integrity and respect.

good article… standing behind your people. The fact that the positive test was back in September and we’re just hearing about it now raises questions. “slightly elevated” levels of some thing your body actually produces normally is a pretty weak thing to hit someone on without follow on proof I think. Hopefully this all works out cause Cushing is a beast and he was a stud as SC.

I meant about the Muppet dis.

This is from an ESPN article on the situation. Pretty interesting:

"Cushing’s test was positive for slightly elevated levels of hCG, the source familiar with the case told Schefter. The level that he tested positive for was so low that it would not have been considered a positive test even a year ago.

hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is a banned substance that is widely used to stimulate the body’s testosterone production after an athlete uses anabolic steroids.

One person familiar with testing procedures told Schefter that hCG is contained in seminal fluid and that slightly elevated levels can be discovered in the event that a test occurs soon after ejaculation.

Cushing took and passed a lie-detector test to prove he was not guilty of taking a performance-enhancing drug, but his four-game suspension still stands, a league source told Schefter"

So he could get busted and lose all these awards cause the guy busted a nut too close to a test? lolz

Calling out Jay Glazer…YAHTZEEEE! Gotta love Defranco.

Based on that info, no one should be for this action. If he would have passed even one year ago because of how low the level was, then why the hell is this an issue now?
