I like Paul Carter even though he probably wouldn’t like me.

No links to blogs allowed by trolls like me according to mod’s pm. And I wrote such a clever post too.

I wasn’t allowed to comment on a post that was modded either.

x2
Even more impressive is the multiple set of three at 405.

Best ever was 515 in training and 500 in a deadlift meet. Dunno if I can do that right now, being light and having a lot back fatigue. The days off before the meet will be welcome.
Nice volume in the last workout. Your GPP must be very good.

Hard to say. I know I was pretty well knocked out for the night after that session - so maybe not.
Hahaha. I know that feeling. But to maintain your workout like you did, must mean your conditioning is fairly well. Better than alot of folks I know.
“The Road” is a hard movie to watch, but a great one.

Better than me! ![]()
Tony, that is a tonne of work. And the variety is nuts. The only thing you missed were squats!

You know how it goes - “If you can’t be strong, then be interesting.”

Yeah, but on 2 of the big 3 lifts, you lift more than I do.
Hmmmm…I guess that doesn’t actually mean you’re “strong”. But it does mean you’re stronger than me.
<No arguments! I have never DL’d more than 500# and I couldn’t squat or DL 350#, right now. So there!>

Did you read the book?
I aim to be both strong and interesting.
Clearly I am going for interesting in this crowd.
I don’t eat either when stressed, but your non-eating has you down 10 pounds at least. That’s alot!

BWx15,15 (going for 20x4 over time)
Cheat BB Rows
255x5
265x5,5
Tate Presses
40’s 5x3 sets
Notes:
PP’s : Felt Solid and would have done more sets, but I was saving for squat testing. Controlled negatives on each rep.
Squats: Looks like I’m in good shape here. Want a 3rd attmpt @ 390 or 395 for a 30lb meet PR
Dips: doing these to help bench AND OHP’s
My son’s workout:
Squats
BWX15
45x5
65x5
80 5x3 sets (need to work on depth on last set)
OHP
30x5
45x5
50x3,3 (PR +1 set)
Back extensions (45 degree)
BW 15x3 sets
DB Rows
20’s 5x3 sets (still working form)
Situps
BW+10x60
Notes: Took him out of the squat rack so he could go deeper. He hits the supports in the rack and can’t hit depth. Keeping the weight the same for next session. 5 lbs is a big jump on OHP but he’s game for it and did really well.
Really good looking workout.
I might have missed it. How long before your meet?

9 days from now. One more heavy session to test bench and squat - the remainder will be light speedy stuff and not much of it.
Severance payment came in and I am practically chewing my pillow to keep from blowing a chunk of the money on an EliteFTS rack, Bars and plates.
