Thanks, but 555 would be “normal” and 600 would be spectacular.

Cheat Lever and Row (calves parallel to floor, thighs vertical)
BWx3,4,3,3 (last set was crappy)
CGBP (paused)
225 2x4 sets
1-legged GM (right side)
135 5x2 sets
Notes:
Started the session with a bit of sciatica going down the left leg but decided it wasn’t bad enough to not do lower body stuff. All these little aches pains and annoyances will go away once I gain weight. They’re signs of a system reaching tolerances. So I need to expand the system again.
C&P: Mis-grooved the second set so badly that I couldn’t even push press it. I tried three times to get it off the shoulders and each attempt went out in front. Settled down and nailed it in subsequent sets. I had to take my grip a bit wider than usual to make the press, though the ones that went up were smooth enough to look at.
DDL: Grip was still tired from yesterday so I was a bit surprised I didn’t have to resort to straps or mixed grip. These will get easier, especially when I put the weight back on my frame.
Cheat Lever+row: Can’t row as high with my legs out farther. I’m hoping these will get better over the next two weeks.
CGBP: Got a binding point in the right pec/shoulder about 2/3rds of the way up the mucks with my lockout. I did some one-arm fatman pushups to work it, but it’s a strange animal. I’ll keep at it.

Have you considered doing stand-up comedy?
No.
I am the only one that things i’m funny.
You’re a better man than I for publishing the “press” video to the world. Of course, you have so many win videos, it’s nice to see you’re not superhuman all the time.
What was the weight on that? The clean went right up. Also great form on the deficit DL.

Thanks, sfp.
That was the second set of 185. Had a complete brain fart on that one.

Great work, Tony. That clean was smoothe as silk. And I love the way you refused to give in on the press. Whether it went up or not, it says a lot about you. And, yeas, it says something good (thought I would beat you to it).
I see what you are talking about on the deficit dead, but I am not sure how one could avoid leading with their ass, given that much of a deficit.

“He’s not determined, he’s just stupid.”
Thanks Strick - I really blew it though on the press though. I didn’t set up after the clean properly by getting my chest up, so there was no way that bar was gonna make it to lockout.

Form/technique issues are remedied easily enough. Drive and determination, not so much. Might just be me, but I would much rather watch someone push through and “will” up a single rep, than blast through a half dozen without thought.
