Great training Tony. Weren’t you 198 lbs a month or two ago. How the heck are you 180-185 now. We’ve talked about this before but its interesting how some people struggle to gain weight and some (me) could weigh 300 lbs no problem.
they dont put up much of a fight, but they are persistent about fighting, no giving up. yeah, not for bbq, for soups and stews only

I tried an experiment and attempted to live on what was made for me. That meant eating only dinner most days. Around 1200-1400 kcals a day.
I hit 181 the other day and decided the experiment was over. I’ve learned that unless I cook for myself, I am going to die - something most people learn once they move out of their parents’ house. ![]()
I’m running GOMAD to get the weight back on, though I’ve managed only 3/4 of a GOMAD so far.
Had to look up GOMAD. Ran into an article “how to gain 25 lbs. in 25 days with squats and milk”. Have fun.
Thanks Hel. Weight should come back quickly.

Notes
C&P - Solid. No worries here. Hang-cleaned 'em all too.
DL - 6" deficit deads did nothing for my conventional DL as I expected. I’ll be power cleaning next time so we’ll see if that got stronger. Moving to 3 singles around 90% followed by GMsx5. My DL is weak in the back - I can’t feel the hamstrings working after the squeeze off the floor as they ought to.
CGBP - all sets easy.
Holy Full Body Work, Batman! You are a MACHINE!!!

1200-1400 kcal? Wow thats not much. Especially for a ripped lifter like yourself. Maybe if you were sporting 20% bodyfay and weighed 181 lbs it would be enough.
hey, tony, why the boring thread title all of a sudden?
oh, yeah, nice lifting too

Thanks MJ.
I’m just not feeling all that inventive anymore.

Looks like more than it is, really. Almost overdid the DLs, true.
So I’m getting the feeling that upper body responds well to to the Hepburn-style training while lower body likes what I was doing before (1-3 @ 90%+ followed by 5 @ 80%) and deadlifting every 4th session while rotating movements.
Nothing helps a max deadlift more than doing a few near-max deadlifts here and there…For me, anyways.
So I’m going there.
I am a big fan of your videos.
I’d say something else nice to you, but then you’d only have to self-deprecate and that little script seems somewhat familiar… ![]()

And I’m an even bigger fan of yours.
awesome job going on here tony. i’m always impressed with the high level of volume in your training.
Had a hard time finding your log, I expected something like: Riding the t-rex with laser beam eyes! Great training as usual, as my mom used to say if you like to eat you need to know how to cook. At this point the only thing between you and that 550 pound deadlift is food.
Nice work as usual Tony. Just eat more. If nothing else do like some of my training partners: taco bell + chocolate milk. win win.
