Neck thingie is stinging less and less.

There’s a virtual meet in August. I can take top spot for deadlift and total if I keep my weight where it is and hit the numbers I want; numbers I don’t think I’m too far off from.

I sure feel better with a little more weight on, though.

I did the ice cream thing before - a pint a night, back during the SV boom when I was doing database consulting and could splurge a lot for doofy things. It was before picking up the weights again. I got up to 190 and was very floppy in the middle. It would slap against itself and itch after jogging - which I was also guilty of back then.

We all have things in our past, White One. For some it’s jogging, for me it’s…well, most people have things in their past.

About 5-6 years now. In which case I am developmentally retarded as I should have at least 1 spectacular lift to my credit by now.

The most I’ve deadlifted is 515. I have done a 550 rack pull from just below the knee though. and 585 just above it.

Oh, so it was only 515 at a body weight of 180? Yeah, that’s just 2.86x BW.

Thanks Skip. I’m expecting the floor presses will be easier next session, what with volume being cut in half and knocking off most of the extra “off-day” work.
