Curious to know and understand WIDTH

Would wide grip help with thickness? I never knew that, I’m shocked.

but it wont do jack unless you are doing high frequency and high volume.

Show Andrew what a certified moron method can really achieve!!! I’m rooting for you!

I’ll do it, are there any other tips you can give to develop thickness? Like for all bodyparts?

Probably partial reps focusing on the tension. All the thick bodybuilders did those.

ok tyty

Yeah. Focus on tension. Feel the muscle you’re trying to work, work.

Partials reps! Controversial!

But if you like them, and they help with you focus the work on the target muscle, why not?

Do I need to keep varying my workout up?

The question is too vague.

Without watching you in the gym (which would tell me volumes), my recommendation is to spend the next two years competing in Powerlifting while doing some bodybuilding supplemental exercises. Keep slowly losing weight and competing in lower weight classes as you get more defined.

But this entire two years you should be concentrating on getting stronger, not just more defined. Your goal is body BUILDING.

Absolutely agree with you!! Do you have any other social media I can correspond with you on?

No. Just here for now.

lol lol

Are you saying I can powerbuild? I watched a video and someone said powerlifting makes your body unaesthetic.

Powerlifting builds a solid foundation for building a physique. IMO, you have placed too much significance on being aesthetic.

That said, IMO, Powerlifting does not make a person less aesthetic, especially if your assistance exercises build all the muscles in your body.

This is exactly what I did in my quest to reach the best physique I could build. I also competed in Bodybuilding during the two years that I competed in Powerlifting.

I’m a big fan of focusing on getting stronger and doing the bodybuilding accessories inbetween!

I do that also with the goal of getting thick as frick.

I did 1 of my biggest lifts of 505 almost 4-weeks ago, it was a 1-rep max. Since then I’ve been doing bodybuilding pump work and recovering. I’m not ready to do 10s with 300s yet but I’ll do that soon only to work up to 510 next. I’m getting thicker and leaner as I do this. 505 beats anything in the 400s, 505 beats 500. That NEW stress and stimulation is what matters. I’m also getting the stimulus from more volume in the pump work.

I think strength should always be prioritized.

Curious how both of these are simultaneously possible

Ah, figured this must be it.

We used to do 3’s (slang term) sets of 6 or 8 in our bench press our way to glory days.

So you bring the bar to chest and push about ⅓ up, return, push ⅔ up, return, push to full extension. That’s 1 rep.

I dunno if it worked, but we all swore by it cuz burning, mega pump, doms, etc. And if it hurts, it must be great..

Guys that solely powerlift at a high level for a long time like Dave Tate or Mark Bell- Then do bodybuilding makeovers by cutting way down and doing a show look pretty lumpy, cuz they spent Years specializing in getting and being as strong as possible in 3 lifts.

Most people- like everybody except them and a very select few others- don’t need to worry about that. At all. Ever.
