Curious About the Users Here

This is T-Nation, but I am under the impression many on here are not really lifters. I’m curious who we are giving advice to. In my case, I am a former competitive Strongman.
I am 46 yrs old, 6’0, 267 lbs (this morning anyway) and couldn’t get to 165 lbs if I was in a concentration camp for the duration of a World War.
I work part-time and do volunteer work full-time. My wife keeps telling me that I’m living the Hipster dream.

(Edited to add info that everyone else seems to be adding)

31 yr 5’10" 220lbs probably 20%bf construction worker and been going to the gym for the past few months now that I have the energy. I was 150-160 as a junked out teenager until 22. Couldnt imagine ever getting close to the weight being healthy.

27, 6ft 208 this morning, was 20% BF at 217 a couple weeks ago. Been lifting since December 26th 2018. Started because of the T-transformation thread. Been on TRT for about a year now. Need all the help I can get.

Edit: I see he listed his job ^ so thought I’d add mine. I work on a linecrew building and maintaining power lines. 40-100 hours a week, needless to say I have a perma farmers tan.

6’2" 250lbs gym rat. Been lifting for about 17 years. More serious though the last 10 years with a few lapses mixed in. Prior 2 years before lifting I was 165 maybe 175 party drugger with meth leading up to that. Quit all the drugs about 21. I can hardly imagine being below 200 lbs again.

6’0" 224lbs, former weightlifter (Olympic lifter in the US). Over 45 years lifting.

The older I get, the stronger I was…………

I need to workout more but spend a lot of my time spearfishing in the Gulf. At one time I was 255 and probably the best shape of my life. I wish I had the desire to get back into top shape, I just don’t lol

Thats me in the avatar at about 280

I’m 60 and been lifting for 32 years straight.
At 5’6” I’m pretty consistent at 165-168 and about 9% bf. I started lifting for two reasons. One was smoking a ton of pot back in the day and when jobs starting testing I knew I had to quit so I used training as a way to divert my attention. The other reason I was 28 years old and weighed 128lbs soaking wet with a beer gut. Didn’t like the look. Gaining and maintaining weight has never been easy for me. If I don’t gorge myself daily I drop weight quickly. My wife is always envious of how much I can eat.

17-18% BF

Been lifting off and on for a very long time. Serious and steady for the last two years.

150lbs
Never been over 160lbs

Needless to say I don’t gain fat or muscle easily

I’m 5’11" 170 lbs. 46 years old. Lawyer. Been lifting and bodybuilding for 30 years. Actually been doing endurance stuff like Ironman triathlon for the past 15 years, but more of a hybrid athlete putting a priority on lifting/strength moreso than most that do those events. Very conscious about diet, health, and life extension. Got into TRT both to make up for the natural decline of T over the years, for preventative living, and just to optimize my life. Feeling great but always looking for that edge.

42, 185-190, 6’1"

I do not go to the gym. I do stuff at home. Like pull up bar stuff, bicep curls, squat thrusts. Cardio on threadmill.

My goal be fit, healthy and longevity.
Wife can’t keep up with my sex drive…lol.

I currently do not like how my belly looks. Trying to figure out what it is and do things to decrease it’s size. It’s out of proportion with the rest of my body.

225 @ 5’10" @ roughly 25% body fat, and 31 years old. Been training 10 years, and competing in powerlifting for a little less than 3 years. Started about 6 months ago when I had all the symptoms.

I really wonder what percentage of men have low t. I think the lifting community is much more aware of the symptoms, and are more prone to discover an issue.
