Cured of Catholicism

It took many years and a lot of wicked people in 3 local catholic churches but I am truly done with this church. All I want now is to be excommunicated and all record of my ever being involved with these people to be put into the dustbin.

Does anyone know a shortcut of how to obtain excommunication? Knowing what I know, I’d probably have to pay a large bribe in order to get this and I certainly don’t want to give these people any more money, that’s for sure. Any way to force them to do this?

I thought you were a deist?

The Catholic Church has done more for the impoverished than perhaps any other modern institution. Regardless, I thought you were a deist?

What made you think that?

Anyway, yes, I am NOW a deist. There certainly is a god but religion is just a man made construct, designed to swindle the naive.

Only the days God talk to him about Vishnu.
Maybe.

You’ve already used this troll post some time ago. You’re recycling your old material now.

I am no longer a practicing Catholic, but this was a topic of conversation a long time ago during an adult religious studies class hosted by the church. The priest indicated that excommunications must be handled through the diocese vis-a-vis the regional bishop. Your local parish priest should be able to direct you on how to go about the process, assuming you are serious, but unless he was mistaken, this priest indicated that this is all he can do - the actual excommunication must go through the bishop.

You are already in a state of de facto excommunication. You’re not important enough to draw a special tribunal for major excommunication. Take your ball of and go home. Nobody gives a shit if you hate the church or not. You’re just recycling old material to stir up shit, which is just sad and pathetic. You really got nothing better to do? You are a weak person.

Look, Pat. I know this guy can be a pain, but as a Christian dialoging with non believers, try not to swear. There’s no possible way Catholicism condones this.

I find it interesting that the word “shit” as in poop is a swearword in USA. In Norway the classical swearwords is “faen i helvete” which can be translated to “satan in hell”. Or just one of the words. The word shit has no effect hele. In that way you are similar to Germany with Scheiße. Still, poop is not that bad?

Only the FCC considers shit a swear word…

“There certainly is a god”

No.

Apparently, converting to Judaism (which includes renouncing all other religions) works, according to the very upset (but very nice and genuinely concerned) priest who baptized and confirmed me and who was sent for a visit by my mother who is rather concerned about my upcoming conversion.

Heck, I’ve done the scary part (the ceremonial circumcision – pin prick, due to thankfully being circumcised already).

The conversion takes a calendar year, more or less.

So not exactly a shortcut.

The terms “circumcision” and “short cut” occurring in the same post should give one pause.
