i just got my two bottles in the mail. I have really bad right MCL pain and what i feel like might be tendonitis in my left wrist. I have had these pains for the last month solid so i am hoping Curcumin can help a little. I will post back after the first bottle.
So what’s the recommended dosage? 2 pills, 2x/day for pain relief and 1 pill, 1x/day for maintenance?
This stuff seems to be ok. I was expecting maybe some sides like bad breath or burps but I don’t notice anything. I think my back injury is starting to get better. It’s been hurt a bit for months with a constant strain. It still hurts but it’s like the Curcumin maybe helped kick start a more serious recovery that I am apparently incapable of without this specific chemical mixture? =P
have been taking this a month now. have noticed some improvements in my wrists and shoulders, but not in my back unfortunately, which what i was REALLY hoping for. but i will probably keep taking this for a while!
Any updates on decreased efficacy when taking this in conjunction with beta alanine? This was mentioned awhile ago.

I’ve never noticed any and I’ve been using them together since this product was released.
I take 2 - 3 pills a day. 1 per meal

So, you haven’t used it without beta-alanine? How would you contrast the two if not?
I’m curious - what happened to the original article that accompanied the Curcumin 500 launch? (The “Pain DOES Hurt!” article?)
The “more info” link at the t-muscle store product listing is gone, and the article is also missing in the supplement archives (clicking on it just leads to a generic order page with a product photo).

Just wondering if Biotest has done any testing with Curcumin 500 and it’s effect on blood lipids.
In particular, I saw a test that showed that Curcumin will help raise your HDL Cholesterol
The test was mentioned here:

You only eat 2 - 3 meals per day?

I’m trying to convince a friend to use this product and it would be nice to be able to give him the article. Mods please put it back up.
This morning i took my regular 1 Flameout and 1 Curcumin 500 pill and within a few minutes after wards i felt a hot feeling in my throat. I then burped, because i had just eated breakfast, and this powdery smoke came out of my mouth. I had to go drink some orange juice real quick to get the feeling out of my mouth and throat. Has anybody had this problem before? I’m thinking the circumin pill opened up or something before it got down to my stomach.
Try drinking more water when you take it. This will help it get to the stomach and not stuck in your throat or esophogus.

Yeah, you didn’t drink enough water and it got stuck.
I imagine the burning is from Piperine. A few of my HRX capsules popped open once and it BURNS when it gets out.
Dr. Zeigenfuss,
I have several small orthopedic issues I’m dealing with… L5-S1 R Facet Joint Sprain, partial tear of a cervical rotator C5-6, small R infraspinatus tear, fat pad inflammation R knee. I am not interested in COX-2 inhibition as my pain levels are minor and I want to feel when I’m aggravating these injuries, which leads me to my questions:
What other helpful mechanisms of soft tissue healing does curcumin have?
Are you at all familiar with Sinew Plex (sold at Poliquin’s website)? It contains some kind of enzyme, but I can’t seem to find any information on it (perhaps b/c he cites a lot of obscure foreign studies).
What is your opinion of Cissus Quadrangularis as a soft tissue regeneration agent? How does it work? I saw it discussed a little bit in this thread but would love to hear more details on it.

I’m also looking for the article. I’m not going to buy this product until I can read the research on it, which I’m assuming was linked from the article.

Same here.
I posted a question regarding the article but it wasn’t posted. Received a message from a MOD stating that the article is going under some revision. It didn’t specify when it would be up again though.
I was planning on picking some up but I needed more info which was provided in the article.

As an update to my original post, I also noticed that the “CoX2 Anti-Inflammatory” claim has been removed from the bottle label, as well as the “Potent Pain Reliever That’s Also Good For You!” statement. Relatedly, Biotest confirmed with me that the article was removed, as well as the label being changed, but made no statements about the article being updated. They did say, however, that the ingredients to Curcumin 500 have not been changed.
I’ve been using Curcumin 500 since launch, so let’s hope the product isn’t in jeopardy.
For those of you wanting to read the original article, it’s out there if you look around.

This stuff works. I have an old injury and get back pain from sitting all day at work sometimes. One day the pain was so bad I had to lie down for a while. I took 2 of these and about 1-2 hours later the pain was just a barely noticeable discomfort. I’m taking 4 a day now, not just for pain but also for the other health benefits.
Like many other people here, I also had a broken capsule in both bottles I received. Sounds like there were some issues with the first batch. I’m sure they will get this sorted out. Anyway, the stuff works so I just ordered 4 more bottles.
