hi ct
i train 6-10 sessions aweek
3 olyimpic lifts,3bodybuilding workouts
with carido on this days {am cardio pm lifting}and 2 power lifting sessions aweek. my problem is how to combine between all 3 methods of training becuse the bodybuilding specicfic movments hurts my flexsibility in olifts workouts and the volume just become to high so i tend to over train alot.i have am onth between aweightlifting meet{israel championship}
that im in and a bodybuilding show a month after so i cant let go any of the sessions. what is the best way to combine ALL TREE WITH OUT over training?
CT,
In your black book of training how did you generate the men with just musculature? Is it a computer program?

Ct,
What do you think of Verkhoshanky’s linked successive system? Do you think he is just a researcher or are his theories applicable?
Brandon Green
It can be useful in some cases, but with most North American athletes (football, hockey, baseball, backetball, etc.) the off-season is not long enough to make this system work.

What do you think of the Soviet style of Gpp? I saw the USSR volleyball team in 87 in a round robin tournament in L.A. with the USSR,USA,Brazil,Canada and France. Ussr comes out in the warmup and they look like Cirque De Soliel with backward flips forward flips, windmills with arms going opposite directions etc. What do you think?
Brandon Green
Not a big fan … a lot of former Soviet athletes used other sports as GPP (here I know that Andrei Kulescha uses soccer as a conditioning session for his boxers). The problem I see with this is an increase in the risk of injuries.

Yes, I used Poser 4 with a special muscle add-on

You already sent me this by email… I’ll get to it, but I have over 50 emails a day. Be patient.
CT,
Do you have any new dietary tips to add mass fast?
CT-
I too am 11 days out from a contest. After reviewing your response, I have two questions:
1)On the Thursday meals, is that 2 fish meals of 200g/protein each, or 200 total for the day?
2)Also, after the last phase of carbing up on Friday, you say no carbs after noon. What do we eat the rest of the day, besides diuretics and the last of our water?
Thanks in advance, the advice is great and easy to follow.
ok.thank you
just wanted to make sure that you got it:}
CT,
I’m not sure if you missed my question earlier today about unloading weeks, it is on the previous page but I know the mods don’t like “double postings”. Could you please have a look at it?
Cheers,
Ben
Thib,
What would you suggest for a female (my wife) who dislocated her right elbow as far as aggressive, but safe rehab? She’ll be seeing the therapist for 4 weeks at 3x per week, but she likes to train and is a bit discouraged that some athletes online have claimed that they never got full strength/mobility again.
thanks,
DH

No … the fish should weight 200g … not supply 200g of protein!

Dry protein sources … only small amounts of food.

If you change your training every 2 weeks you should unload at the end of 3 x 2 weeks cycles… so basically your unloading week is on week 7.

I just recently came across your old Part-time Beast routine in the archives. I realize this isn’t the most difficult or advanced program,
Try it and see, it is very intense, and it has to be because you aren’t training as often yet need to still make gains. The ten sets of bench, squats etc are very hard, choose your weight for the higher rep sets carefully so that you can get all reps out. I would often find that I could do the first two sets of 10 and 9 reps but when shooting for 8 reps I could only get 6, I needed to go lighter at the start.
This program is deceptive…
By saying this wasn’t the most difficult program, I meant it wasn’t utilizing splits or progressions I’d never heard of before. Sorry for my poor choice of words. That it seemed like a straight-forward yet challenging program was the reason it caught my eye. Thanks for the advice, now I’ll have to find a month to give this a try.
Gotcha, thanks. Yeah I was thinking to myself “good god that’s a lot of fish I have to eat. 200 grams of protein per sitting, that’s what, about 1 great white shark each meal.” Glad I got that clarified!!!
CT,
Now that you are doing more PL syle training/westside etc. i was wondering what your stance on gear is?
Do you use any type of supportive squat briefs for your ME and DE squat workouts?
for ME bench, do you use partials, board presses ,etc.?
Thanks in advance
CT- a couple of weeks ago, you had a workout for legs that was 3 days/week, alternating high reps and intensity. Now, I can’t find a link, and I can’t find it in the archives. What gives?
Which powerlifting federation will you choose to lift in Christian?
