We’re talking about BCAA’s not AAS. It’s not that complex.

Did you catch the part about Biotest’s money-back guarantee?

I understand that… and having been unemployed a few years back, let me stress that I really do understand.
However, shocking news, if you want to grow, hit the gym, eat smart and get appropriate rest. Then, once you are doing that, and you have the bucks, find ways to supplement your progress.
If you aren’t doing that, or you don’t have the cash, then don’t.
I’m not trying to shill for Biotest, though I do certainly use and appreciate their products, but BCAA’s are not some esoteric new invention.
ChrisKing wrote:

“All first-time purchases of any other Biotest product that are ordered directly from Biotest are backed by a 100% money-back guarantee.” Since I have previously ordered a bottle BCAAs, the money-back guarantee would not apply to my situation.
Now, if you can get a guarantee from customer service that if I order 9 bottles of BCAAs and do not gain 8-16 pounds of LBM, that I will get my money back for ever bottle, then I will place the order tonight.

No shit. My question wasn’t whether anyone had taken them. My question was whether anyone had a) taken 50 grams a day and b) experienced the supposedly drug-like results.
Have you followed CT’s dosage recommendations? Do you know anyone who has? If so, please post your feedback. If not, then I am not interested in what you have to say.

I think you might be too young to purchase supplements…

I think the real pricks are people who have posted non-responsive comments to the simple question I presented.
Lonnie123 wrote:
Lets not forget that you can get a 100% refund on the BCAA’s if you are not satisfied with the results. The refund is valid for up to 90 days after the purchase, which is well beyond 8 weeks. You could even do it for 12 weeks and see if it worked…and if it didnt you could get a refund.
Hell, you could balls to the wall with the BCAA’s, the full on 10 pills 5 times a day and return them if it didnt work. Don’t be a douche and return them for no reason, but there is always that insurance policy against being mielead.
I am going to PM customer service and find out whether the money-back guarantee would apply to such a purchase/experiment. If it does, then I’m going to give it a run.

One of these day’s you’ll be forced to recognize that if you “win friends and influence people” every time you create a thread - then perhaps it has something to do with you… and not the rest of the world.

There are easier ways to gain 3lbs of muscle.
You could spend more time in the gym or take some viagra.
Yeah they are called liver tabs, 13 bucks for 500 tabs. I know many BB’ers who will take as many as 15-20 tabs a day while on a serious intense bulk. It is not a miracle worker, just a solid supplement with tons of aminos, cheap and good protein along with a bunch of other goodies as well.

There you go, Animal, Gettin’ all “old-school-Vince Gironda” on us! Hahah/;=)
Personally, I think they’d be fools to refund an entire purchase of 9 bottles.
Did it ever occur to you to purchase 1 or 2 bottles and see how you respond to the protocol? It’s not like you shouldn’t be able to tell whether the product is doing what you want with this quantity.
Returning that many bottles would be a scummy thing to do, but I guess it seems right up your alley.
While CaliforniaLaw certainly may be a prick his question is legitimate.
CT’s published experience with his trainees is exceptional.
So far it seems none of the people posting here have had a similar experience.
Well, If I was going to do a bunch of “research” before dropping a bunch of change on something, the “research” I would be doing would be towards obtaining the best possible results, not whether or not someone else has done it or getting a refund.
The questions I would want answered would be:
What is this designed to achieve?(strength? volume? both? neither?)
What lifting parameters should be applied?
Are there any synergists required? Test boosters, cell volumizers?
What do I need to change in order to bring all of these factors together for the best possible results?
It is silly to imagine that “everything I am doing is perfect, and introducing one supplement will produce a massive gain”.
Take a multi-factoral approach, and ask questions that lead to success, not failure.

I think perhaps we have to allow for that fact that CT is a pretty hardcore trainer and forces his disciples to push and grow… which is supported by the supplements, not caused by it.
I’m thinking the law guy should be looking in the gym or the kitchen first… because nothing is going to make him grow if he’s not stimulating growth in the first place.
Anyway, I take them, and I think they help with recovery and so forth, but no, I’m not taking a bazillion per day.
If you are already taking protein several times a day. Why would you need BCAA. They total protein amount even if taken in bulk could not compare to the protein in 3+ shakes a day. I really don’t see the point unless you were severally cutting and could not afford the calories from even protein sources.
Look up the ingredients for liver tabs and you will know what I mean. I dont take them for the protein, I take them for the aminos and vitamins. The fact they have some protein in them is just an added bonus.
